Hey there guys. Please help me out. Please also note that I want some ``noob`` variations taking into account that flanking the boss is out of the question. I start with POWER DPS. So as a ranger soulbeast I used so far dagger\axe + greatsword. Now that is a very old build that it does not work anymore. I see that on the build sites there is an updated build that uses axe\axe + longbow. I really hate longbow tho. I just can't get it to work. What do you guys think about the axe\axe + axe\warhorn situation? Me honestly I don't understand warhorn? Wouldn't axe\axe + axe\axe make more sense? That way you can get 2x ``Whirling Defense`` into 1 ``One Wolf Pack``. CONDI DPS. So I also made some while ago a condi dps build. I took the ``shortbow only variation``. Why? because it is a very easy and ranged build with which I can learn encounters. For example deimos has been amazing with this build, I can really concentrate on everything happening. I do would like to add a little more dps (currently 22k max) but also keeping the ``ranged dps`` role kinda. I see that build sites suggest shortbow + dagger\torch. Is there anything I can get for my secondary weapon set that can be ranged? For example shortbow + axe/torch... But mainhand axe is power weapon not condi 😞 Any suggestions? Hello. I only played ranger so far but I want to gear my HFB now. How ? 😄 I will mostly play fractals and strikes and probably not much raids because I already have my druid for that. How do you suggest me to gear my HFB? Discretize (the site that is specialized in fractal builds) says that i should go harrier and some cleric. Some other sites (that are specialized in raid builds) say to go full harrier. So I am a bit lost on what is the best route for me now. Please help me out thank you ^^

This is what other ppl have also told me, that core condition ranger might be better than core power ranger in terms of dps. Because core power ranger just ... suks...

Do you guys think I could make a core ranger work in fractals with a condition type build? Considering that core game players cannot get viper set? I am thinking maybe a combination of BRINGER items (expertise / precision / vitality) and SINISTER (condition dmg / power / precision). As weapons short bow / axe mainhand + torch off-hand. The idea is that in fractals, as soon as I stack with my teammates I die. I can only play from distance. I don't know how you guys can evade and block the attacks I basically do not see anything. So I am left there DPS-ing with only my longbow and barely using my greatsword. I am thinking a condition damage with 2 items that have some ranger, but also could get closer to the boss for the party boons, could help me do more damage. What do you guys think? P.S. I am a core game (not free to play). Thank you.

Yes I saw a video about stat-swapping, this is why I asked you guys if you guys are doing multiple types of content are you constantly stat-swapping gears, or you have more than 1 ascended set with different stats? I crafted all my ascended set while I still had the core game, but I guess with the expansions they are way easier to get.

Hi there guys. Playing for 3 months now here. I am at tier 3 fractals right now, never did raids before. I have full ascended, 150 agony resistance, and my full set is ``power, precision, ferocity``. I am a ranger. Can you guys tell me, for a complete noob, if my stats are good for going into raids? Or what stats should I get? I will mostly wanna play support rather than soulbeast, but I wanna gear for both variants. Should I change my current ascended set to ``power, vitality, precision, ferocity`` or something else? Also do you guys have more than 1 ascended set, with different stats for different events (raids, fractals, wvw, open world) or just 1 set that you constantly change the stats of? Another question is for WvW what stats should I get? I will only play soulbeast there. Thank you all a lot for your incoming help.

Hi there guys. I have the base game bought from a long time ago. I also found a leftover heart of thorns physical copy. What happens if I activate heart of thorns only now, considering that they bundled them together? I can't understand why they don't offer the choice of only buying hot or only buying pof. Hey guys. Fresh lvl 80 here. I have the base game (not free to play player, just the base game). I have 100% map completion, and that took me around 100 hours even tho I used taco. Being a casual player, I want to ask you if it is worth to buy PoF+HoT bundle? I want to say that I am not really interested in questing in MMORPG, I am more interested in instanced PvE content. What content do I get that a new player will be able to do without much experience if he buys PoF+HoT except WvW, PvP, Fractals, Dungeons, World Bosses. This are all available now on my base game. Another question is how much will it take me to finish HoT+PoF maps 100% and the story. I am not interested in achievements, but because I am a strange person I want to finish the story+map completion asap, so then I can do content freely. Some ppl said it will take me another 100 hours+ which are a bit scary to think of. <<<<< >>>>> Another non-related question to the above are ranger pets. I unlocked all the pets, but I have no idea which 1 to use. I understand the hawk is god for Conquest PvP. I also use the bear when i solo champions, and boy that thing can tank it no problem. For fractal bosses I have been also using the hawk, not sure if there is any better option for single-target PvE damage? Also for monsters while clearing a dungeon is there any good aoe pet?
