  1. Just to update - this issue still persists. Tried reaching out to the support and they kept saying DX11 is still in beta, which is weird since I was under the impression it is no longer considered beta setting? But still, really weird that the micro-stutters came back after months of having no issues at all, especially since I definitely did not mess with any option in the settings. I tried reinstalling the game, removing cache folder, uninstalling/turning off background apps that could interfere with the game - nothing helps. Guess my best bet is hoping it will fix itself... Somehow...
  2. Hello. So, I am a bit of a... Graphics tryhard and I absolutely hate seeing stutters or micro-stutters in games. I started heavily playing GW2 in January and back then I noticed quite a lot of stutters when turning my camera - this was fixed by disabling DPI scaling along with turning on DX11 Beta. I have also done almost all available steps from this reddit guide. Everything was fine for 4 months with virtually no visible stutters at all... Until about two weeks ago. I was wondering what happened, but I know my PC temperatures are fine, drivers up to date, etc... And then it hit me, DX11 came out of beta around the time I started seeing the micro-stutters again. Is this just a coincidence? Can anyone help somehow?
  3. Hello. 🙂 I’ve been playing WoW for a very long time with my main being Death Knight. Logically, after switching to GW2 I’ve been trying to find a similar profession, but not just from the gameplay point of view but lore-wise as well. After all, throughout the years of playing mostly one class it grows on you in every aspect. 😄 So, my question is as above - is Revenant actually GW2’s version of a DK? You see the most obvious opinion is always that since Death Knights are using undead magic (and they are risen themselves), then Reaper should be the number one choice here. But after playing the spec and seeing the overall feel, it feels more like a Warlock instead of a DK. It doesn’t seem like Necromancers work particularly with the "dead", but rather channel dark magic to do... Stuff. 🙂 However, one thing about Death Knights, they walk the line between the realm of the living and the realm of the dead, similarly to what the Revenants should be doing with the Mists. But the entire lore of the Mists is confusing me right now a bit. Throughout the story I remember seeing characters yelling "I’ll send you to the Mists", which means Revenants would technically be able to enter the realm of the dead - therefore walking the line. But when I go deep with the lore of the Mists, it seems like it is a proto-reality consisting of several different sub-realities, which would instead make Revenant to be more Mage-ish? (Doctor Strange and the Multiverse much haha) And yes, I understand neither professions really fit the DK. Both Revenant and Necromancer seem like a cross between multiple different WoW classes, but that is fine. Just trying to tip the scales here lore-wise. 😄
  4. I’m talking about the "roller coaster" type of narrative and game designs. Like... The chapter 5 boss fight was GREAT with absolutely stunning visuals and the ending was handled very well. And then you start chapter 6 and wooo awesome visuals as well (with clunky flying system but oh well) and it’s all picking up and... you’re just running around collecting stuff for people again... By no means I am saying it is completely bad or anything, it has its "very highs" and it has its "very lows". Especially the difference in the overall design has been bothering me the most. I realised that in S2 the "fetch" quests were actually mostly covered by having to finish the hearts. Which, in my opinion, was the better way to go. But that’s personal preference again, because I like the system of hearts completion. Okay now I’m worried. 😄
  5. Hi there! I would like to preface this by stating that this may come out as a slight rant and I wholeheartedly apologize for it in advice. My point is not to ruffle any feathers in this amazing and helpful community, but there is just something lingering in the back of my head that I need to let out. My MMO journey actually began with GW2 shortly after its release but I could never really get into it so I switched to playing SWTOR (spoils you with decent storytelling), and then moved on to WoW (spoils you with decent game design). However, with the state that WoW is in, I have decided to give GW2 another try, and behold, I have finally reached the max level, and quite frankly, enjoyed the base story and the overall experience of exploring. Heart of Thorns was pretty enjoyable for me as well, as it reminded me a bit of Mass Effect storytelling and there were rarely systems that made me slam the desk. Same for Living World Season 3. Afterward, Path of Fire was kind of okay-ish (yay mounts!) and it has improved the combat style of HoT in which I felt as if I am constantly cc-ed whenever I have decided to inititate combat. 😄 But... What in the name of the flying spaghetti monster happened to the game design before Living World Season 4? It feels like I may be in a minority here because from what I saw on Reddit and here on the forums, most of the players actually despise the older content and prefer the new one. How come? The systems of S4 are ridiculous (the "stealth" chapter LOL) and the story is a mess. I am playing Revenant and my character is totally shocked when he has to go through the Mists portals... Now I am at the fifth chapter, which is a chapter before the final one, and I am supposed to do "fetch quests"?? I mean... Huh? There is a huge tension of a big battle and my character is wasting time running between places for different things like an Uber driver. Worst thing is that I know the spoilers for the finale of S4 and that makes everything that S4 is trying to be all the more irrelevant. And if you will wonder why I am even playing through it knowing the spoilers, well, I have 30k achievement points in WoW, I am a completionist, so of course I have to bother with finishing everything I can in GW2. ^^ So, my questions are... Apparently at some point a lot of developers left the company - was it before the development of S4 and could that be the reason of the experience of the chapters going downhill? Is the Icebrood Saga the same when it comes to the systems and story? I truly am sorry again for this wall of text. As a WoW refugee I am just desperately trying to like the game and don’t get me wrong, there are tons of things I love, just had to get this off my chest. Please do not burn me, we are all entitled to our opinions, if you disagree, that is completely fine. 🙂
  6. Hello! I have a question for people who really put out some effort into trying all the possible combinations with the new Vindicator elite spec for Revenant. Does the spec "flow" nicely with Assassin? The reason why I am asking is because I am really really enjoying a sw/sw-hammer assassin/dwarf build right now as a fairly new player doing mostly open-world content, but I am a big "greatsword guy" so automatically the appeal for Vindicator spec is already there. Looking at the videos of the abilities it all seems fairly nice, the colors of animations have a typical Revenant-ish feel and the animations themselves are basically taken from other professions, which is completely fine for me. I am just struggling to find opinions on running the greatsword with legendary/assassin stances, which makes me wonder if it is totally useless or something? Any thoughts? Thank you in advance for your answers. :-)
