Yep, confirm this just happened to me in Feb 2022... Is it even possible to get around this? Same thing as the other story mission where you drop your framerate or something..? Edit: Just completed it. Getting back to the story point was a pain but it's possible with a rabbit with the tallest leap mastery thing. Drop your framerate in the options to 30 and just skip the cutscene and watch it on youtube, worked for me.

It's 2022 and I've just gotten to this story point and having this exact issue, on that exact line with Joko - "I do need your army, but I don't need you." Going to try running around and lowering framerate and going straight up to the portal to see if it works. Will edit this post if it does. Edit: It worked - lower to 30fps, spammed all my f1 skills as guardian and walked up the portal early.
