I'm trying to finish all of the EOD story achievements but I'm stuck on this last one. How do I get the guilt by association achievement?

So I found the supply cache needed for the jade shadow achievement but for some reason it won’t let me examine it. This is just bugged for me because my sister who I am doing the story/achievements with was able to examine it. Anybody else know if there’s a way to fix this problem? I’ve tried restarting the story but that doesn’t work.

I found the supply cache and the chest they are on the ground floor in separate rooms on either side of the camp. Make sure to look in the corners.
