Are the Black Lion Chest seasonal? I just recently returned to the game after being away since 2013. I never really cared about the Black Lion Chest, until I saw the jade tech jet pack. I would love to get this item. However my question is, I noticed from this video (Posted Below) that all his chest were Green, and he got the item after several tries. All the chest I've opened have been red. Did I just waste my money on buying keys with zero chance of getting the item I want? And if so, do these items ever come back around so I can have a chance at getting them again sometime in the future? I'm just trying to figure out how this system works. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance...

Thanks for the explanation, I am a returning player who's been away for a long time. So I'm sure a lot has changed. To answer some questions asked above, This is a new character (currently level 28) I just made him last week because I have never played a Revenant before and wanted to make one. I returned to the game, bought all the expansions (I have only ever played the core game up until this past week) and made the character in question. Yes I have discord, I could try to get online tonight and stream it once my kids are in bed.

Hello, thanks for replying. No at the time I noticed this happening, I had 3 hero points. I went out to earn one more so I could get the 4th point and buy the next skill I needed. I specifically chose a challenge that I had not done yet, in order to get the point I needed for my new skill. I completed the challenge, I hover my mouse over it and it says that it was “Earned” (It did NOT say this before I did the challenge) however I still had 3 hero points and never got the 4th point I needed in order to train up my new skill. This happened to me more than once last night. It even happened after leveling and I received a message saying I earned more hero points after I leveled. But it was still stuck at 3 points…. The bottom line is it seems to be bugged for me and I’m not getting the hero points after I earned them… Has anyone else seen this happen or know how to get it fixed??

So I have completed a few of the Hero Point challenges (for the 1st time, I'm not repeating the same one over and over) I have also leveled a few times and I noticed that I have not gotten any Hero points for my character Klàw (Charr Revenant) - On Tarnished Coast. I have NOT done any WvW or PvP on this character yet. I should have more hero points than I currently do now... This seems to be bugged. If I hover my mouse over the icon on the map it will say "Hero Point Earned" But I am NOT getting them and I cannot grow my skill tree anymore... I should have more hero points than I currently do, I'm stuck and cannot progress further on this character.... I put in a ticket to support for help and was told to come here instead... I don't know what else to do... PLEASE HELP! Thanks! 🙂
