    Wouldnt work for the simple reason that griffons needs enough vertical space to dive from to gain momentum. Skyscale would fare much better.

    You get loads of dive if you start at the top of the light tower next to the "Phoenix Roost" Point of Interest.

  2. No and with good reason. Ranger is the worst class you can take into WvW. They have no reliable damage in Zergs, have no boon strip, can't apply anywhere near enough boons to be even remotely interesting and are worse than any other support overall. Even in roaming you are better off with with something like a mesmer or thief. Unless you like loosing and gifting enemy servers free points you don't pick ranger. Having allied rangers on a full wvw map is essentially a handicap to your server.

    Currently Ranger is Trash tier. You should pick Guardian, necro, scrapper, rev or warrior for zerging and for roaming either mesmer or thief(which in addition to being strong can potentially open a portal for allies into enemy objectives).

    -No need to rely on rangers for speed, might and fury as revenants can provide those boon AND actually deal damage. Furthermore speed, might and fury are relatively easy to get. Rangers can not provide the necessary amount of the more impact full boons like stability, protection, resistance...

    -You are implying that there was a point in time when Rangers were good for zerg fights and if nerfs are undone this situation would be remedied, however even if these nerfs are undone rangers would still be an wvw outcast as they would still be unfit for wvw with their lack of usefulness.

    In any situation in which players fight against other players in a game where you can win or loose, live or die,get rewards or not, the players will decide to play the way which offers highest chance of success(winning, living and collecting rewards). This implies playing the strongest possible option for every role which is impact full and rangers are simply not the strongest possible option for ANY role.

  5. -ingame calendar where special events are shown. Wether from the game itself or created by friends or Guild. (ex: Halloween, Christmas, Guild missions, music band meeting ect)

    -more animated emotes (i know there is the /e but it doesn't really cut it.

    -more fractals. Fractals are fun. They are enjoyable both from the gameplay and story aspect. It would be awesome to have 100 different fractal stories.

    -more epic map wide meta events like in the HoT zones.

    -Official GvG Tournaments with the possibility to spectate. (Actually think that GW2GvG Esports is a potentially quite lucrative opportunity. Esports are quite the rage at the moment and only getting more popular)

    -more serious conflict with consequences between the characters in the story

  6. Lances have a good impact on WvW. It forces people to play together. People that usually walk around alone now get killed by Gankers. Now on my server people started getting together and communicating with each other because they do not want to get killed by Gankers. They start to do more team-play, change their builds for more effective team-play and even join teamspeak / discord for coordination. Lances have increased community bond on server. Lances have a good impact on WvW and will increase it's longevity by increasing community bonds.

    Lances should be buffed. They need to be faster, unblockable, impossible to dodge and reveal enemy(also add little red dot on map to signal enemy).

    Rangers are not useless in WvW at all, just in the Zerg. Rangers are some of the best ranged single target snipers in the game that ignore reflects because they can just make their attacks unblockable. And even IF another class is superior in roaming, like Thief, that doesn’t make rangers bad at it. Also news flash, Thief sucks in zergs too.

    It just means that if you roam you are outperformed by other classes and when you play zerg you are outpeformed by other classes. Might as well play other classes in WvW.

  8. For the core game and Heart of Thorns ranger is indeed very nice, but in pof many foes have boons like protection and regeneration. It's quite annoying as ranger does not have boon removal. Yes, it is still very doable to kill those foes with boons but it slows down the gameplay.Mesmer is nice because it has access to everything (including boon removal) without losing damage output or survivability .
