Meteorlogicus/Howl replaced by Quip on Tempest I'm willing to try it, but somehow, I don't really see this as thematically appropriate nor a viable substitute for Meteorlogicus' attributes in PvE.

After reading the forum threads, I'm amending from "likely" to "definitely" buy. Simple reason. Some individuals are going so ballistic in their reactions, it just makes me want to stick it to them more by supporting the expansion. just kidding. The legendary armor suits a casual farmer like myself, so it's something I'd appreciate.- 207 replies

I don't know about WvW xp, but it seems all progress, xp, items, mats, etc, are lost. This truly is a just a test run with no saved items/progress from the testing. I may be wrong, but go in thinking you won't walk out with anything in hand except the experience of testing new weapons for the core professions.

Just as you pointed out in your later message. When I looked at my regular characters, those extras were gone. Confirmation that things only look like they're falling into the bank, but actually aren't.

The appearance, I imagine, would be second to having access to it. As mentioned by others, with transmutation available, the appearance issue is easily remedied. That point aside, appearance wise, the heavy armor is quite nice. Reminds me of the Elder Scrolls obsidian armors for some reason, in a lighter tone.

I've got a few years playing this, and I'm mainly a PvE farmer, so pre-ordering will likely be my choice. After trying out a few characters in the Beta, I found them to be enjoyable, and honestly, a refreshing change for what I do in-game. I can see why others would be worried about the balance issues, and how other aspects ie WvW, etc, are being handled.

Silly question, I know, but I've noticed they fall into my bank, so I was wondering if those mats will remain (despite the warning of no progress saved) or if they will disappear at the end of the beta testing? Thank you!
