I've commanded all the 4 EoD metas on a regular basis since EoD launch and one thing that always bothers me (enough to actually post here, which I never do) is the timing of the NKC meta -- no matter how good you are, there's just no speeding up the event enough that catching the EW meta afterwards isn't awkwardly tight, timing-wise. It is possible, but not guaranteed that you will make it. The forced length of this meta coupled with it being slow and boring, also means the weekly statuette you get from the meta has sky-rocketed in price on the TP, as the meta is not run as much as the other EoD metas. So we do have a NKC longevity issue here, imho. I suggest a simple fix: Remove the middle section (the double escort) from the NKC meta. So instead of (initial events, double lab defense, double escorts, final boss) the meta becomes (initial events, double lab defense, final boss). I doubt it'll ever happen, tho. EoD is already old content and we all know Anet rarely (LS1 so far being the only exception) goes back to old content and significantly updates it. Feel free to prove me wrong, devs!

After updating to latest nvidia drivers the issue went away.

Happened to me, too... ran a client repair (https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/201863008-Repairing-the-Game-Client -- have patience takes a LONG time to run). Then I restarted the client and it patched a little and now I can login without game crashing. Of course it could be that the patching had nothing to do with my running a client repair, and Anet simply released a patch to deal with this right now ;-) Edit: According to twitter, Anet patched. Restart client and you should be good to go.
