This is another example of Anet balance identifying a problem with an elite spec and then trying to resolve the problem by gutting a core specialization. This punishes nearly every condition build that Rangers have, leaving core, Soulbeast and Untamed condi builds all weaker because devs are unhappy about druid. But then not only do they take this away, they don't even replace it with some other condition trait.
At the micro level this is problematic for its too broad impact, but even more on the macro level this highlights this seriously flawed approach to balance. If there is a problem with an elite spec change the ELITE SPEC rather than further gutting core traits that have universal impact.The meta build for PvP and Roaming WVW doesn't even use that trait, so who knows why they changed it.

I like the idea as long as water is a super soaker (The exotic weapon could be one that changes skin depending on what element your in)

Staff ele was OP in WvW could almost one shot an ambient creature..

Although I agree the repeatable ones should be improved in general in term of raw gold potential (and please remove the desert crafting material coffers from LW4 tracks entirely, I just don't care about having to click 5 times for more flax fibers).

Do think the spec needs an overhaul. Seen some good idea's and wanted to drop mine in to!
Spheres moved to the class mechanic
When Attunning to a new attunement (in combat) Create a sphere that move circles you damaging enemies and inflicting a condition (fire - burning, water - chill, earth - bleed, air - vul)
Sphere lasts 10 seconds, However casting F5 will over charge the sphere sending it back to you damaging enemies around you, creating a aura on yourself depending on your attunement and it will be a blast finisher (maybe too much?)
F5 will have a cd of 20 seconds so can't spam this ability in each attunement.
Move old F5 wells to hammer 3 and give earth the smoke field! it will give hammer something really good to play with (Hammer skills do need looking at to but atm the main idea of the catalyst needs fixing)
Do think we should of got wells/ wards to go with the idea of what the cataylst is supposed to be. Think new skills be best in the long term, rather than trying to fix/ buff ones they have done would be better idea.
If keeping the utility skills that you have created. They need massive improvements. Whats the idea/ point of them over cantrips? Huge buffs needs. Such as, making the extra stuff with them baseline and giving them an aura maybe if you using it while in the that attunement?

When I saw it last week very excited to play it however just feels like theres something missing. Doing some pvp felt tanky than normal, dmg was ok once i went dagger/ focus (helped with aura's to) but the sphere felt pointless dropped it hit a blast finisher maybe got an aura off it then it was gone but not only gone on cd? Got to build energy and it has a cd feels like one or the other to me? i felt like i was playing tempest but I banned from using overloads...
This spec needs something to show it appart from core/ tempest is the new f5 right thing? I think could do really well with wall/ ward ele that people asked for...
