  1. Thank you for the reply. I mean sure, ArenaNet is not responsible for Proton or the Steam Deck. They could however take into account that there are many people playing GW2 on a Linux OS now, especially as they've launched the game on Steam. Updating the launcher so it works decently on these devices seems the most sensible thing to do, and indeed the only thing ArenaNet can do themselves. Why rely on other parties to fix it for them? And no, I'm no way able to tinker with devices or software myself, nor do I even know what the f those words in your links mean lol. I can imagine I'm not the only one in that position, that is why I came to the source of the problem: the makers of the launcher. My monkey brain think maybe ArenaNet should check out those links?
  2. The game itself works fine. I use Guild Wars 2 through Steam on the Steam Deck and then log into the launcher with my ArenaNet account. However, the Guild Wars 2 launcher itself is insanely laggy on the Steam Deck. It's near impossible to use the mouse/trackpads. Using the touch screen works better, but inputs get registered maybe once every 20 seconds if you're lucky and sometimes doublepress or not press at all, making it a bit of a gamble to log in. Usually it's not a huge issue since you fill in your email and password once, buuuuut since the password field is highlighted when the launcher starts, you remove your password when you accidentally press any keybind lol. Anyway, os there any way to make the launcher not lag this badly? I googled and some people are complaining about the same problem when launching GW2 in Linux, but those posts are mostly abandoned/ years old and there are no answers and nothing about the problem specifically on the Steam Deck. Would be nice if ArenaNet could fix this! Or if someone here knows how to fix it!
