  1. I think this highlights the problem with core engi in general. They don't have enough stunbreaks that are also useful skills. For example guardian has meditations that are stunbreaks AND condi cleanse or teleport. Yes we have utility goggles but thats not as useful as you think. I personally would want kit swap to be a stunbreak... I know that's a crazy idea but in all of the builds I try to conjure up for core engi, stunbreaks are the main problem. We usually can only equip one stunbreak, even if its just on the toolbelt bar. Many classes have multiple stunbreaks and that makes them viable, especially in pvp. Idk as engi it just feels bad to die to cc lock cuz we only have one stunbreak... Again if kit swap was a stunbreak that would be heaven for me as an engi. Put it in the tools trait line, maybe in streamlined kits but with a 10 second cooldown 😛 I can dream can't I?
  2. Superspeed on stealth from "Meld with Shadows" when using the "Silent Scope" trait is nice, but in PvE, the stealth is 1 second longer than the superspeed, causing 1 second of slow running while in stealth before the stealth wears off and you get superspeed again. It might seem minor but it just doesn't feel right. Ideally I'd like to see "Meld with Shadows" provide 3 seconds of superspeed instead of only 2, for PvE only ofcourse. I don't think it would be a big deal in PvE to have this slight quality of life boost. The other solution would be to decrease the stealth duration from "Silent Scope" to 2 seconds, which I would personally be fine with, but I can imagine we all would like more stealth in PvE, not less. Btw, the maximum stackable duration for superspeed is 10 seconds in all game modes. For PvP and WvW the interaction of "Meld with Shadows" and "Silent Scope" is fine since the superspeed lasts longer than the stealth in both cases. What do you guys and gals think? Edit: Adding Relic of Unseen Invasion to PvE would help with this issue I guess, but the cooldown would have to be reduced for PvE, and I'd rather not have to use up the relic slot just for that.
  3. I'm done. Not worth anyone's time anymore. Love it.
  4. The pvp population is so low this would not be close to a problem. And only the specific classes of each account should be tracked. Perhaps the leaderboard could list the account name and have the class in parenthesis next to it or something. And it would be fine to have an account be on the leaderboard multiple times. There are many solutions. This is the strongest argument, but que sniping happens already, and it only works to a certain point. If someone is good enough to get to 1650+ on multiple classes, they deserve it. Please make sure you are talking about classes and not characters. There are not 40 classes, there are only 9. We are talking about the MMRs of classes, not individual characters. If you are intentionally confusing these two, you are MISREPRESENTING, and the argument is a strawman. More on that later. Decay exists. These characters won't stay up in the leaderboards for long unless they spend a lot of time playing all these classes. OK friend, 90% of your responses were under the assumption that que swapping would not be banned, and that MMR would not be tracked separately for each class. Those two qualifiers were obvious and stated multiple times yet you chose to ignore it. That sound like strawmanning to you? And now you're doing it again by conflating individual characters with classes. People are pointing fingers at you because you are adamant that you are right and that the rest of the community is wrong and that we haven't thought this through when we've clearly rebutted your arguments. You are the one that's getting heated because you can't even consider the possibility that you might be wrong when multiple people are calling you out. At the very least this idea is worth considering, and of course testing should be done to prove or disprove its viability. Edit: Seeing your last post now... all we've done is give you truths and facts and rebuttals but you just won't accept them! We don't care about image, we care about implementing cool new ideas to make the game better.
  5. Yes. That's what we want. No, all you have to do is replace account name on the leaderboard to character name. If the person has multiple characters of the same class, just show the highest ranked character of that class, or something else, whatever. You're whole argument across this thread has been based off of a strawman of the original suggestion, i.e. still being able to class swap and not having separate MMRs.
  6. Hey, sorry I'm going to have to disagree with this. Yes, I main thief but I also play guardian and I have no problem with thieves' stealth. Just because you don't know how to deal with them doesn't mean its unbalanced.
  7. The source of the data is distributed, it comes from many different IPs. And you can't tell who in the match initiated it. If this truly exists this is very scary. Its hard to do so only a few dedicated and very well connected people will be able to do it. If anyone can do this it would be used for much more nefarious and lucrative things than winning a gw2 tournament. lol.
  8. I'm talking about 100 blades, whirling defense, zealot's defense, crystal hibernation, meteor shower, etc. A lot of these skills require a setup to be usable, either a knockdown or an immobilize, which is usually a waste of a utility slot. It feels arbitrary which skills have mobility and which don't. There are many powerful skills that let you move during the execution. And it just feels bad since a lot of your survivability and effectiveness in this game depends on your mobility. I would like to see these skills changed so that you can move while executing them without the skill getting cancelled, even if it means they get nerfed a bit, but in my opinion the nerf is not necessary. Freedom of movement makes combat more fun and dynamic and interactive. What do you guys and gals think?
