Hello good people of Tyria
So I play GW2 on and off since it was released and now is "on" time again and since I played last time the new update had arrived. So I went to the store to buy it and to my surprise I've got an error and then again and again. This was a 80808 error, which, as support told me, card fraud prevention system and it cannot be solved. Like literally they claim they cannot unflag me and it seems Im forever banned from buying anything from Anet. All this years while I was located in Eu region it was perfectly fine, but once I moved to Asia suddenly I am a fraud...
The support has a mental and emotional capacity of a telegram chatbot and responds exclusively with template messages, which basically state that they don't give a single doilyak behind about my problem. Template messages suggest me to bliss off and a list of vendors to buy a code and redeem on a website and the pickle is that the suggestions only work for EU/US region...
I get it, the security measures and things to prevent some fraud or whatever, I get it. But the approach where they make no effort, no action is taken, towards the solution is just bizarre. If there is some security thing, they could've tried to confirm my identity or something, but there was NO attempt to even try to solve this issue. It went straight to "not our problem". I mean, the short version of my conversation with support would go like this "Hey, I have an issue with your game" "Yeah, sucks to be you". So since Anet don't give an F about loyal veteran players I request help from the community.
Do you guys know any trustworthy vendors that sell globally redeemable GW2 keys? cuz I found a bunch of stores but they do look shady 🙂
