  1. Thanks for the kind replies. I change the SSD with a nvme disk on a pci card and everything is blazing fast right now. So as you pointed out the SSD was the problem. But this not triggered so much in games like wow or some others, only gw2 seems affected by this issue. Btw everything is fine now. Thanks all for the help.
  2. Thanks all for the replies and infos. I am a GW2 casual player, migrating from WoW, and for the moment do not make many things with a lot of other players around. Just world exploration, world bosses, some fractals and events here and there ... and map loading times are really fast on the home pc. Now to solve the problem I'll double check the installation files. Trying a repair or a reinstall. I'll try to change the SSD too where the game is installed to see if the problem could be there, or buy a pcie controller for nvme disks. ... and if I find at work a new mobo with a newer CPU I'll try to change also them 🙂 I'll let you know if I solved and where was the issue. Thanks again for your help.
  3. Thanks for your reply. It is very slow and when I say slow I want to say that it almost stops on: mapLoadinfo --> ModelsLoaded. If I reduce the graphics complexity to medium or low it become slow but acceptable. For this thing I asked what are the minimum (or the recommended) hardware requirements because I think the VGA I used are fine, the RAM should be enough, SSD is not fast as NVME but I think it should be ok so the only thing that remain is the mobo and the CPU ... Thanks.
  4. Hi all, I am playing gw2 very well and without problems in my home pc (ryz9, 64GBram, RTX 3070 8GB, nvme HDs, res 3440x1440). The loading of the map is almost instant even if I maximize a lot of graphics parameters. Now I am trying to assemble/build a 2nd pc using spare parts I had to play in a vacation house when I stay there. I used an i7-4790 3.6ghz, 32gb RAM, a couple of SSD (one for OS and the other for the games) and for the GPU I tried: AMD RX 6600 XT 8GB Nvidia GTX 1650S 4GB AMD RX 580 8GB and a identical home monitor with resolution of 3440x1440. but the map loading is terribly slow (in the home pc is less than 4sec here I got 2min) and so I have to lower a lot of graphics settings even if I thought the VGA is good enough to handle them. So is possible that the bottleneck will be the CPU ? If yes any advice on a budget one or a minimum setup required that can smoothly run the game ? Thanks.
