I dont think so. Even if they yeet SB from the game another thing is going to pop up. The bottom line is we need a mechanism that provides a more balanced experience. I suggested Ban Phase after which 3 specs get banned in total for the entire game. This way ranked is going to push the most versatile players not the ones who just pick the most broken meta spec in the current meta. Does not matter if its a SB, Soulbeast, Druid or whatever else. I just do not want to play against the same spec all the time.

Sorry Moba not RTS 🤦‍♂️ Yeah if they can balance things Sure! Is it possible absolutely not. They don't have a team that works on the pvp mode actively. We are getting 4 major sPVP patches in a year. Because of this maybe instead of playing a whac a mole with risky balance changes every 3 months maybe they need to introduce additional mechanism how to prevent the current issues. If its not a ban phase Maybe separate ranks for each class or something. Where you are ranked against the performance of other people playing the same profession or spec

Yeah Dota and League are running out of business because they don't know whats up right? Remember the talk from some months ago of Gw2 being sacked if the sales of SOTO were poor. You que on account level but still can do whatever you want on yor char trade, farm, chat. Its just that the inital screen when you go into a match is a place where you can select what exactly you want to ban and play.

ban phase not draft phase sorry All 10 players vote for 2-3 specs to be banned. The 3 most voted ones get the boot for this game only. You can still pick everything else like it is right now. You can be 5vs5 spellbreakers if you want unless it is banned. Also sPVP feels more like a Moba than a MMO especially the best map Champions Dusk

@Sahne.6950 You can play your character as much as you want the chance of a single character having 3/4 specs banned is quite slim dont you think. Also you can play your favourite broken spec as much as you want in unranked. At least for me the best and most fun games I've ever played were games where most people were playing off meta specs.

We are banning specs not characters sir 🙂 If you can play only Spellbreaker and it gets banned you might lose the game. So you will derank because of your lack of versatility. Draft should be for Ranked only and only for peope that have at least 4 different specs

@Sahne.6950 Someone is grasping for straws it looks like. You que on account NOT on character. You que It finds people with similar skill You select the 3 professions you dont like to play against in the ban phase. When the results come in you select your hero from the char select and if you have a banned spec on the char its just grayed out and you can switch to a different spec if you want. So what is going to happen is the most diverse players are going to climb while the people who grind just a single broken spec all season are going to be ranked accordingly.

Says who? A Weeb T3 Pokimane Sub that is obsessed with commenting under peoples threads 60 times a day and edits his comments non stop to make them more witty? The idea is quite good and definitely better in the current wild west that sPVP is. 6 banned specs for the game might be a bit too much but 3 is definitely not bad. So right now we can switch characters, item builds and specs I think this is the next obvious step. Image you are a wheelchair bound Spellbreaker or a Braindead Daredevil Thief like me suddenly turns out you need to learn a new spec or an entire different profession. In my humble opinion you did not see my second comment because you were too busy editing your comments 😉 to make yourself cool. So you immediately rejected it and called it "dumb" 🙂 Meanwhile every popular competitive game has a Draft Phase I personally don't see how a Draft Phase where everyone votes for 3 specs to be banned is worse than what we have currently a whack a mole where we are waiting for the next broken thing?

@Sahne.6950 My suggestion is that there should be a Draft Mode literally in the second comment 🙂 Because with the small team behind the mode and the complex nature of the combat in the game we might just need a new way how to play ranked Should have eddited my first comment like how you edit your comments 5-10 times 😉

The issue is that Is that you are perma non stop adding nonsensical comments that you edit and change every 2 minutes. Your first comment was plenty why are you continuing to comment not on topic that SB is played quite a lot. It's just that I'm not sure what needs to be nerfed in particular so there is a leftover class after. Nerf to Stability is going to destroy it, Nerfing the Mobility is going to destroy it, Nerfing CC is going to make it unreliable, Nerfing the dmg might be an option. This is for the developer team to figure out. I just see it almost every game this means in a Min Max mode like PVP people tend to play the most optimal and strong builds and SB just based on the numbers seems to be played quite a lot. Tourny 130 competitors in13 games where just a single spec was picked 17% of the time. I don't see a lot of people who play Power Turret Rifle Core Engineer (was fun back in the days when the game released) for a reason because it is useless.

@Myror.7521 Respectfully Spellbreaker is the most easy class in this game after Dragonhunter. It's played with power stats because you can get away with it. You are complaining about the permanent block spam meta but oddly enough SB is part of this meta. Yeah it might not have a instant gap close but Thank god! The main issue I have is that it has too much survival ability for the amount of CC, damage and mobility he has. It's kinda interesting how a Single Specialization out of 36 gets picked 17% of the time if we look in my example and you think its not too tuned up? Kinda interesting logic because numbers kinda speak for themselves. One positive thing that the Spec is so boring that a lot of people get tired of playing it. On the other hand I absolutely understand that with how Anet usually do things its Either going to be yeeted of the game for 2 years or they are not going to nerf absolutely anything. Honestly there should be a 30 sec "draft" instead of a warmup where all people can vote 3 specs to be banned. At the end of this the 3 most suggested specs(elite + core) get banned for this game. After this you have 30-45 sec to pickup the exact spec you want to play this game. With so many build and spec templates the game is kinda made for this.

If the PVP mode is this abandoned Make at least a Draft like in Dota 2 where we can select 3 specs per each team to be banned so at least we can ban the most busted ones

Its nice that staff got nerfed dont get me wrong but Spellbreaker is still busted as **** Dagger/Shield + GS or Hammer I watched a high rank tournament recently 13 games in total - 22 Spellbreakers in total. There was 1 game where there were no spellbreakers in the game. Two additional teams did not take SB in their comp and played against SB and they both lost with 200-300 point difference. My games also feel the same. I'm just playing against SB over and over and over again. Some times it feels like if we are not meta builds we need 3 people to take down a single spellbreaker. Balance Patch every 3 months does not cut it at all when you add that the team behind the pvp mode seems completely disconnected from the game.
