The progress for this story chapter isn't saved. I failed the achievement "Misplaced Anger" due to dying to general damage, despite this not being part of the achievement, and logged out to retry, now I have to restart from the beginning.

Well, I have never completed them and they got reset anyway.

I partially completed two of the renown hearts in New Kaineng City yesterday. I have to start from 0% today. I don't think that's supposed to happen. The tengu Heart that I did in fact fully complete yesterday doesn't even show up on the map anymore.

I didn't know about this option but there was no UI at the very end and it was more rotation than shaking, not sure if you can turn that off? When you walk slowly at the end, it rotates up and down constantly. At least it did for me. I've looked up a video and there was slight shaking there, but it was nowhere near as extreme as for me. At the end of the "The Crystal Dragon" story instance, the screen was shaking so extremely that I am actually feeling dizzy right now. This must be a bug. And if it's intentional, it should still be changed.
