critical strikes buff does not belong to PVP,
this are the needed changes that i have been advocating to be changed in PvE
-
At this point in PvE, we will just be a glorified skipping tool and a door opener

@PLS.4095 said:Buff Tihef pvp too.
that too, but they will hate any buffs in pvp hehehehe

addendum: possible minor changes that will bring us up to par with at least 37k dps on Daredevil
- make the 15% modifier from dodge available in PvE as well, like the PvP/WvW counterpart
- make the specific raid stolen skills instant so it will be palatable to cast and will not lose any DPS in the entire encounter
-
and rifle DE does not even use the traits for dps in a pylon build, you use invigorating precision to self sustain

now that another benchmarking is up, even longbow rangers beat us up
we dont offer any group support we cant even offer good DPS lol

there is an unusual trend on Anets development, when they tone down a certain class that is overly performing in PvE, they tone down everyone to give a sense of justice/equality
that being said, even if they tone down other class' DPS, by in part they will also do some trimming on Thieves' end as well,
by in large it also defeats the purpose as a whole, we are still on the mediocre barrel of options, an "unwanted/undesirable" class as a DPS
therefore thieves must be in line or competitive against other DPS classes
-
i agree with psycoprophet,
thief only does one thing DPS, we should not be lagging behind in that aspect
PS i dont discount that we have a niche support spec of boon farters
-
im back again with my crusade of buff thief crusade in high end pve
most of the classes got their buffs and tweaks that most of them are 38k benchmarks minimum in the new upcoming SnowCrows benchmark, with easier rotation as far as the uploaded videos from their benchmarking partners
like i proposed several months ago, that most were against when i posted the changes, i will modestly proposed them once more
the trait Ferocious strikes should change its modifier from health to fury instead, so we will not lose any dps
the revealed training should be 120 power and 120 additional power when revealedinstead of the current iteration of 80 and 120, to make it in line with other traits like staff master or equilibrium
make the 15% modifier from dodge available in PvE as well, like the PvP/WvW counterpart
make the specific raid stolen skills instant so it will be palatable to cast and will not lose any DPS in the entire encounter
as far as the power is concerned we are lagging behind with the new times,
we dont even have a proper competitive conditions builds as far as raiding goes, in this i would like to see a 10 man increase for venomshare in pve only

I have researched most of the classes "critical trait lines" its only thief that has a "trade-off" correct me if I missed any trait lines,
-
great suggestion guys,
any changes on that trait will be excellent, since there is no reason that we lose a damage modifier if the fight goes on
-
it would be more competitive in PvE DPS if this trait will be changed from the current iteration of
"Gain increased critical damage against foes whose health is above the threshold."
to
gain increased critical damage to foes, whenever you have fury
because in its current state, we LOSE the modifier if the monster/opponent does not meet the HP threshold

id like to have focus as another option, i want to wear Binding of Ipos, shadow spell caster
-
Specially in team fights this new smoke screen is so good, also in stalling a point for 7 secs
-
the assassin theme, name and archetype was already given to the other class, (revenant)
and thief is not a spiritual successor of gw1's assassin.
so any weapon goes, but my vote goes to GS for thieves, just to be flasshy with Exordium
-
im dreaming of my Dante, DMC, Double pistols and a greatsword
-
lets face it
anet devs are lazy to give us another one handed or off hand weapon, because they have to balance and make multiple "Dual Skills"
they dont have that kind of dev time,
so we just need to accept another 2 handed weapon, so Greatsword all the wayyyyyyyyyyy
-
there is nothing to fix,
we are the epitome of balance
only a few more nerfs here and there, and thief is done
-
I am envious of Exordium's special animations, every attack and skills were changed in all GS wielding Classes
i do not care if GS does not fit thief archetype
i just want to be flashy
