  1. Hi guys. (sorry for my bad english)

That is one thing I really want on the game: all the items that have any stats/prefix, show the prefix name on the item.

    For example.

    - today I see an item on the New Year NPC

    - Plush Mordy: tough, vit, condi, expertise

    What prefix was that?

Everytime I need go to the wiki page, select the same stats, for identify what is it.

Suggestion of how can be add that to the game:

    - At the end of the item name, for example:

    - Warpblade: Celestial

    -  Warpblad (Celestial)

    It's that.

    Thanks.

  2. Hi guys.
I have some issues with playing on Action Cam (this is a bug report).

The main problem is: when I hit a large target, like a world boss, Soo-won, Tequatl, etc, I need to point the camera exactly to the target point, use the skill and then back the camera for the position I want (in world boss for example I point the camera to  my character heat, to see the circles of the area skills, etc).

In small/medium target, its possible to do that just zoom out and use the skill on top of the target, but is not the best way.

What I want and I think its possible is:if I select the target, the skill will hit and I point the skill area circle to the targe, this will hit and I dont need to change my camera angle or leave the action camera mode to use the skill.

I draw some images to illustrate my problem (dont judge me LoL)

  3. First, sorry my english, I'll do my best to explain my suggestions.

As a GW2 player (7y+) I already did a lot of content and of course, repeat a lot of them. Because of that I always have a lot of ideas to the game (like all of you), but I never share here, so it's my first time (be nice).

    SUGGESTIONS

    1. CRAFT - If you have all the child materials to make any item, you can just hit a specific button to craft all the items in one click, instead of click in the magnifier (search icon in the right). The actual buttons are "Craft, Craft All, Cancel", so add another button like "Auto-Craft"
    2. CRAFT - If you click on the maginifier button, the game need to show us a tip related to "how many items the parent item/material need to be crafted?", instead of just remember and type the number.
    3. INVENTORY - Some times I want to my inventory window be small for show only the SHARED SLOTS. But them I want to maximize to show all items, but everytime I need to click on ther corner, resize, and back to small inventory again. So, add a feature to maximize your inventory window when click on the title and if you click again, back to the old size
    4. CRAFT - Queue for craft. You can start some craft and leave. Then back to craft station to get the item (or the item go to your bank if have enough space).
    5. CRAFT - Multiple craft in the same time. Same as queue for craft, but you can start a craft process and do other in the same time.
    6. LEVEL REWARDS - Some button/function to get all level rewards instead of click on the ok button (when level a new character you need to click 79 times * 2/3 related to each level. So, a feature to enable get all the rewards but losing the the gear choice.
    7. REWARD TRACK ON OPEN WORLD - Some reward tracks to get in open world that you can level up when do anything: hearts, points, wp, events, etc. As a reward it can be materials, tomes of knowledge, boosters, bags of gear, etc.
    8. WIKI INGAME - When click on any item you can open the wiki page inside the game, a light version, for check the recipes, etc.

Some of the suggestions above maybe can be enabled only if you have ONE level 80 character for example or a level 400 craft station.

It's that. Sorry for my english and I hope we can have a nice discussion about that =)

Thanks ANET for that awesome game. Guild Wars 2 it's way.

Sorry for my terrible english. That sounds like a super insane amount to me and 5+ builds further than "normal". I have lots of gear in the bank or on characters but having more than a couple "active" builds pre-templates was rare. Hell on some characters I have a single build, because it's for a single purpose (such as having a p/p DE for pewpewing open world PvE - if I feel like going into WvW with a thief... I have another set up for that). Having 30 builds in total
and taking into account you mean gear AND build
    is just
    straight up bonkers
level of commitment to different builds. I mean I'm sure some people still have that for some reason, but I would not consider it "super normal".

Look, I have my main ranger:

    PVE:

    • open world solo: 1 set, 1 build
    • meta event: 1 set, 1 build
    • open world training/guide/farming (champs, etc): 1 set, 1 build

      Fractal

    • condi duration: 1 set, 1 build
    • dps: 1 set, 1 build
    • healer/toughness/hydrid: 1 set, 1 build

      RAID

    • condi duration: 1 set, 1 build
    • dps: 1 set, 1 build
    • healer/toughness/hydrid: 1 set, 1 build

      WvW

    • roaming > condi x zerk: 1 set, 1 build
    • roaming > zerk: 1 set, 1 build
    • roaming > survival: 1 set, 1 build
    • zerg front: 1 set, 1 build
    • zerg middle: 1 set, 1 build

    14 sets, 14 builds.

Calm down, I will explain: In my real situation I have only 8 sets, not 14. Why? Because its impossible to carry all the sets, so I need to keep back to bank to swap everytime = thats boring and stressfull.

"Oh Patrick, why you not share equipment?" = Because the runes and sigils are different and for differente purposes. Its impossible use same set condi, for fractal, raid, open world, solo, etc. For every situation, you have a different set, rune, sigil and build. And Im not a hardcore player Im very casual, but use the same build is terrible for a good experience (in my opinion of course).

And if I have 1 character for each type of build/game mode? (like I really have). Forget the main characeter, my main do everything in the game of course, lets talk about single purpouse characters:

    Soulbeast condition

    PVE:

    • open world solo: 1 set, 1 build
    • meta event: 1 set, 1 build
    • open world training/guide/farming (champs, etc): 1 set, 1 build

      Fractal

    • condi duration: 1 set, 1 build
    • condi survival/hybrid: 1 set, 1 build (like if you need more dps or my vitality)

      RAID

    • condi duration: 1 set, 1 build
    • condi survival/hybrid: 1 set, 1 build (like if you need more dps or my vitality)

      WvW

    • roaming > condi x dps: 1 set, 1 build
    • roaming > full condi: 1 set, 1 build
    • roaming > survival: 1 set, 1 build
    • zerg front: 1 set, 1 build
    • zerg middle: 1 set, 1 build

    12 sets, 12 builds

This, for one type of "set", like: condition, zerk, healer, etc. I have this character that is focused only on condition (a soulbeast pure condition), and even focusing only on that, it still varies the equipment depending on the situation.

I like to play that way because the gameplay never feel the same for me.Playing using the same set, same rune, same sigil, same skills and same traits is boring and you will get tired in a short time (my opinion).

So I never play in the same way. Every situation, game, mode, boss, etc, have a different set.

Other situation: BALANCE PATCH. When balance happens, set's change, build change, everthing change. In the first moment I cant destroy all my stuffs, I need to keep the same set and build and test the "new build with the balance patch".

Thanks for the answer. We hope ANET could be more close to the community and listen us more frequently. We need you and you need us. We need to be partners not enemies.

About that build template:I hope you guys release this feature for free, with a normal limitation, example: 10 equipment/set build + 10 skills/traits build per character for free.if you want more than 10, than you pay.

Im ok with pay IF I PAID FOR AN REALLY EXTRA feature, example: its normal to have 20 equipament builds? NOPE, its not. So if you want to be that crazy, pay for that. But have 10 builds its super normal. Everything that is "normal" it has to be free.

10 builds per character is a decent amount, because we have PVE, PVP and WvW. Most of us have minimum 3 builds for each mode. MINIMUM.The bests scenario is: 10 builds for each mode: 10 for pvp, 10 for pve, 10 for WvW. THIS IS REALLY WORKS.

    When I say "build" I mean equipment/set + skills/traits. So... equipment set + skill/trait build.

    Sorry for my terrible english.

    @Stephane Lo Presti.7258 said:Hello everyone!

During our Live Event today, we dropped some hints about our future plans for the competitive game modes. We wanted to go into a bit more detail here. This list is not all-inclusive, but has some of the bigger things that are currently on our list. Please keep in mind, this list is not carved in stone. Many of these plans could be changed dramatically or outright cancelled depending on changing priorities.

    World Vs. World

    Scaling Objective Rewards

We’re looking to add some additional rewards to WvW. One of the big ways we’re looking into doing this is added rewards for capturing and defending objectives that scale up based on how big the action was. For example successfully capturing a keep that was defended by 50 players should be a lot more rewarding than capturing a keep that was completely undefended. You need to thing in peole that cant find a Zerg or play with friends... the roaming players. We need to receive rewards too, but not a small reward and not the big one, but a decent reward, because we play, alone, but play.

    World Restructuring

World restructuring, commonly referred to as the Alliance system, remains our top priority for WvW. We’re not going into details on this post, since a lot of detail has been released previously. We are still not in a place where we feel comfortable releasing a target date, but we are still working on it.

There remain big issues in WvW there are not addressed by World Restructuring. The biggest one is finding a means to make winning mean something in WvW without motivating players to burn themselves out trying to maintain 24/7 coverage. We have some early designs built around this and will be investigating them once World Restructuring is finished so it is a bit too early for us to go into details around the ideas, but we’re thinking about them. The same answer I gave above, even though it is a multiplayer game, there are still cases that you play alone, I think you should make it possible somehow and have smaller challenges for those who play alone and challenges for those who are in a party / squad.

    sPvP

    Monthly Tournaments

Getting monthly tournaments back on, is currently our #1 priority for PvP. We’re working on this as fast as we can. (Note: Fixes may already be live by the time this post is up.)

    Swiss Tournaments

Swiss tournaments remain our top priority for sPvP. Our current plan is that once the system is ready, we’ll create some special tournaments using the swiss format. Given the complexity of the automated tournament system, there is almost certainly going to be issues that we cannot discover until the system is stressed with real players and teams. Once we’ve addressed issues coming from there, we will convert all automated tournaments to the swiss format.

    Special Tournaments

At this point, we’re holding off on the return of special tournament formats (2v2, 3v3, Tournament of Legends), until after swiss tournaments are complete. But now that some other bugs have been resolved, we’re hoping to get these going on a more regularly cadence.

    Mini-Seasons

We are currently planning on experimenting with mini-seasons with alternate game modes (2v2, 3v3, etc.) during what would normally be off-season time. The key tech we’re missing for this is currently getting additional rating types, as we currently only have ranked and unranked. We don’t feel it’s appropriate for your 2v2/3v3 rank to have any bearing on your conquest rank. We don’t have a timeframe for that change, however, it’s something we’re very interested in doing. Having conquest seasons not overlap with ranked queue for other game modes alleviates most of the concerns we have for splitting the population base.

  7. @Gaile Gray.6029 said:I am sorry for the inconvenience. When we were investigating options for our new forums, one of the parameters set by our Security person was that we disallow all images on the forums. This is not a decision I wanted, as it seriously impacts a number of discussion types, including fan art, guild recruitment, events, and much more. But I'm afraid that as a security measure, we cannot accept images on the forums, and must ask for hosting and for a user going through the steps required to view an image on an external site.

Again, I am very sorry for this inconvenience and wish there was another way to make this more fluid and easy for everyone.

    It's understandable.
