  1. For those like scenery, the geography variation and ambience is its still impressive, specially in LS4. Theres a lots more of rain, I like raining enviroments.

The best way to enjoy water areas in GW2 is fishing, you have a reason to revisiti many areas, and the collections achievments are massive, so if complete a tier, you have to repeat some maps.

  2. Inst clear if the site is related to Anet(theres a copyright's stuff on site footnote) or if was developed by a former dev.

What we can see its abandoned for years and have a bug to slot armor piece, the latest tweet is from 2016.

Would be cool if Anet contact the dev, or if inst possible, then make a "clone" it.

The site is still pretty active with posts everyday and i bet is the primary source of new players to find look to be inspired.

  3. I just suggest don't focus on everything at same time.

The schedule i followed to make my armor, focusing on each step:

    - 1. Time gated items(provisioner tokens) +

    - 1.a if need gold, then include gold meta farms(fractals, meta trains) in that run, because provisioner tokens don't take much time.

    - 2. Essence grind.

    - 2a. optionally Soto map completion to get gifts if you have multiple alts.

    - 3. reserve a day of week to craft/organize economy. i mean craft Exo luck if don't have it and research notes. Sell all mats you don't need, buy what you need.

    - 4. SotO currencies. Daily Map Metas and event runs to collect map currencies.

If you notice in my roadp i try solve economy/time gated stuff first, so in later you don't have to stress about money, just focusing on chill stuff like mats and map completion.

But OMG my current pain and bottleneck are the Provisioner Tokens... 300 doesn't seem like a lot, and while I had enough reserves to burn through the first piece or two... what a pain it is to be crafting/purchasing/saving and then jumping all over the map on a daily basis to purchase/exchange a couple at a time... I didn't have the foresight to realize this in advance to start accumulating, and what an absolute slog now... Easily the most aggravating aspect of the collection, as ridiculous as it seems, for me to date...

U get some 25(i guess) from WvW weekly if u have Wvw currencies, i dont remind exactly the cost.

All my characters have full sets of Ascended armor, and I hardly ever change stats (in Mystic Forge). So for convenience it's not necessary for me to create Legendary Armor. As for the looks I don't care since I often change my looks and mostly prefer using outfits. Soo... I don't see why I should start with creating Legendary armor. Yes I would use it if it was for sale I suppose. But as for gameplay it's not worth my time.

same lol, I already had a large set of ascedend armors and i rarely change stats, so i get it for cosmetics and some prestige.

    I really like these warrior-like armors(heavy).

It always is a supply vs demand issue but it is odd that elder wood is about half the price of mithril ore these days, particularly because mithril is also everywhere in high level zones and it takes only 2 ore to create an ingot, but it takes 3 elder wood to create a plank.

So I think the question really is what happened to the supply vs demand situation of elder wood compared to mithril ore.

all cheapest research notes utilizing craft(jewelry or armor) use mithril.

The most fun aspect of the new feature is the clearly intention to link "inspection" with the gem store, but you guys are not prepared to face this fact, they just want sell more with the effort of the Fashionistas, they need put an option to disable or add too inspect equipments, they will do this? Never, because you cant buy trought Gem store and has the same moral impact.

yeah, that's in really a good sign,

Anet making QOL features that appease playerbase and get more revenue?

    Everyone win-win. applaude them.

Trust me, I'm a fashion wars veteran, it still takes me 3+ hours to make a fashion... it's a time investment...

    believe-me: nobody care.

But youre still a hero in my book, that ppl that can make something beautiful of  that amount of ugly skins theyre are true heroes of GW2.

In time: Gw2style need some love, its abandoned for ages, without Gw2style the game have died long time ago.

Why is an opt in feature wanted? Unless it hides your appearance from everyone except you what is the point? If you can block this feature you have not prevented anyone from copying you. Cell phone picture, prop it next to my monitor, proceed to duplicate your appearance.... Opt in or out is a pointless use of development time because of that alone.

Side note: I hope this works on NPC's. I've wanted to duplicate certain factions on occasion like the White Mantle.

agreed with all, i really like copy NPC looks.(i have a clone of Queen Jennah the four winds version).

I meant that the Obsidian Armor sets are not worth it, because their in-game version is darn ugly, and any gold and/or other resources spent on it are a waste. 😉

yes, and unfortunately mine is heavy =/

The shoulders is the worst offender.

Why they didnt used just a Triumphant Armor or Luminate armor reskin? they proportions are closest to "perfect".

Its seems they think Decade armor was a sucess.

  11. Aesthetically the maps are masterpiece, you never feel boed there(can become bored for other things, but never to look at same place).

I did countless AB meta on the multimap era, for months, never get bored.

My only critisize is that they dont look much a jungle, compare to the echovald wilds. Verdant Brink soil texture reutilize silverwastes color pallete, with that 'dry' color.

The another sin of GW2, too much time in deserts:

    - the content drought make silverwastes a main meta for ages,

    - later HoT that utilize SW soil textures(that dry/orange colour)...

    - a brief relief of deserts on LS3.

    - back to desert again in POF.

    - LS4 more deserts again.

Is it really that frustrating to just look around instead of trying to figure out how to make a straight line from A to B on a map?  It should be pretty obvious within minutes of exploring Tangled Depths that you just can't do that.  But the moment you stop trying and use your eyes, you start finding things.  Why is that updraft there?  Why are there enemies over on that random ledge?  Where does that cave entrance lead?  Is there something in this pool of water?  I think what they did there was really great and underappreciated.

Also Tangled Depths follow some "logic", its have 4 lanes with a format close to a "X". with center on leyline waypoint. each "arm" of the "X" have a surface area and a underground area(acessible from leyline waypoint).

the underground area is where meta take place.,the surface area is where the lanes events chains take place.

Verdant Brink was the absolute pinnacle of map and story mechanics brought together in my opinion. It was like the centre-piece of a well thought out album. Plenty of setup went into what ultimately became a hideous tactical error that the player was thrust into the middle of. It was perfect, and the difficulty spike made the situation feel much more believable and foreboding. I honestly loved HoT, the characters individually were mostly awful (as usual until LS3/4/SotO) but the environment, lore and the general ‘feel’ was spot on. Bonus points for playing a Sylvari, that was a neat touch too. PoF was a step back, there were some nice set pieces but the genius of say, Tangled Depths’s lanes was well and truly out the door. The story really only got entertaining in the Living Story, and only when Joko was present (a lot like Canuck). Still, it was miles better than the utter slop that was EoD. I actually just skipped that expansion after a couple of hours. SotO is much better, especially the characters!

Its seems most Anet failures is linked when they try too rely on nostalgia card(POF-Balthazar, Eod-Cantha).

  14. these lines of general nephus is very interesting, its seems we are really involved in a long time dinastic dispute.

    https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Forced_Hand

General Nephus: For decades I have protected these people. Your people. Now their blood is on our hands.
General Nephus: You left me no choice. And you knew it. Just like your brother. Your uncle. Their plotting. Scheming.
General Nephus: Always ending in misery.
General Nephus: You owe our people. Your family owes us. Bring us something other than death.

  15. You are playing the polished version of HOT, remember that it has suffered several nerfs in difficulty and they changed the meta participation format.

HoT also had some signs of unfinished stuff, some people critisized history being too fast, it didn't have a 'epilogue'. Theres some map breaks in Tangled Depths, and 2 areas cut off from Dragon Stand.

The aesthetic rewards they followed the format of ugly/comic skins(Bladed Armor, Leystone armor), with no themed match(you have Auric weapons, but not a "auric armor", and what about try use Leystone Armor with Machined Weapons?).  The only real good skins from HoT was the backpieces, elite weapons skins(like reaper GS) and Mistward armor.

Not sure what you mean, buying Gift of Research from Lyhr still costs the 500 thermocatalytic reagents, plus the 10 ectos.

ur right i missread the cost and edited the post.

    6 minutes ago, Shaman.2034 said:

All of it is one giant noob trap because if you try to avoid crafting by paying the ecto tax on everything, you need an extra 6,000 ectos, or 2,000g. But leveling all 3 armor crafting disciplines to 500 only costs a total of 130g if you do it the lazy expensive way.

    thats HUGE!!

  17.  the only item winning is Gift of Research, 10 ectos(lyhr) = 3,57 gold on TP. 250 thermocata(mystic forge) is 3,70 on vendor.

Edit: i missread the cost, even gift of research is a noob trap.
