  1. Update. I found this and added it to my shortcut and it worked. This may not work for anyone else but it did for me. Throttling:Launch GW2 with the option:-image -assetsrv 52.202.155.150 -patchconnections 1This will be slow, so only use it when stuck.Change the 1 after -patchconnections to 20 (or higher) to instead flood it. I never did change the setting from 1 up to 20 because I was afraid to change anything once the download passed the 259,000 files remaining. (where it had constantly failed after 7 failed installs) I have no idea if will work for anyone or why it worked for me. But I am happy to have my game back and I will never remove the file again if I can help it.
  2. I have done both of those as suggested by the support team. Didn't work. You say you have done many installations, but not if any of those many installs were in the last week or so since this problem has had a few new threads added.

I am not using a Mac, and I have tried everything in this thread, and have been using this exact same information given to me by the support team. Today they told me they know its an ongoing problem, and they have no ETA on a fix. I know there are a lot of people trying to be helpful, but none of this stuff has worked for me in the past few days. I have been working with support for 4 days and on a brand new pc and I tried it on an older pc. Neither one will make it past 259,000 files remaining before the launcher craps out.Just to clarify, I have tried to do it 3 different times on my new pc. It stops almost every time near the same spot.
  4. The other causes are connection related, and will require using a VPN, or caused by something on your computer - the more obvious ones are anti-virus/spyware/ads, firewalls, optimizers, website filters, etc. For more information on what's happening, you can launch GW2 using the -log option. Let it try to download for a few minutes, then exit and post the log. See the wiki on where to find Gw2.log. I am just curious, if you have actually tried to reinstall the game with this information? I have been trying for 4 days now with assistance from support team and I have had no luck. As a matter fact, they said they know its an ongoing issue and have no ETA on a fix. So have you recently, like in the last few days, actually installed the game with no launcher problems?
  5. Retried again today with another fresh install. Launcher works fine until it reaches 259,000 files. After that I have to restart and the files remaining never moves anymore. Almost a full day of responses with the support guys and still no answers that will help get past this problem.
  6. I am also having a problem getting my game to download after buying a new pc. I was hoping to get the game downloaded and installed but I Have been met with problems from the onset. The launcher shows no progress, on the meter, and I have over 250k files left. Even when it shows its downloading files, they are not being subtracted from the total. After a while the download speed goes to zero and I have to restart again. Has anyone here seen anything like that?
