  1. I realise that leather is a delicate subject, which is why I only specified Thick Leather, as it is currently a bountiful result from salvaging unidentified gear now, and if nothing is done about the supply it will soon become worthless, as Danikat mentioned it was previously. But Thick Leather directly translates to, and is the source of, the main supply of Hardened Leather in the game.https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Cured_Thick_Leather_Square#Mystic_ForgeI disagree. Even at Thick Leather's current price you spend more in gold to make the Hardened Leather Squares using that Mystic Forge recipe than you would get if you then sold it afterwards. At instant buy prices it equates to around 60s to "craft" a Cured Hardened Leather Square compared with around 31s per square on the Trading Post.

I agree with Gossamer Scraps needing to be looked at, I missed those in my original post. Perhaps the change for Mithril Ore should be from 2 ore per ingot to 4 ore per ingot then? I also agree about food ingredients and the food system. It needs to be revised so that it becomes worthwhile actually farming those mats and so that they're actually regularly used in higher quantities. Looking back, the majority of my post is pretty much about dealing with the increased supply of materials as a result of the unidentified gear change a while back. It created a massive increase in supply but the demand has stayed either the same or decreased since then, leading to this massive glut we have currently.
  3. I've been noticing of late that there have been a few materials that are in abundance on the trading post and from drops, but either aren't really used for anything regularly, or in spite of being used regularly, aren't used in enough quantity in order to meaningfully decrease the supply. In order to use up the current supply and make these items valuable again, I have a few suggestions: Create a method potentially in crafting stations to upgrade Eyes of Kormir into Spools of Deldrimor Thread (my suggestion would be one stack (250) of Eyes for each Spool. This would equate to less than the current market value of Spools on the Trading Post, but would also mean that when supply of Eyes decreases the price will go up and potentially become equal to the Spools individually.)Increase the amount of Silk Scraps needed to make a Bolt of Silk from 3 to 5. There is currently an oversupply of Silk Scraps on the Trading Post due to the change in loot drops from the Unidentified Gear change a while ago, and this will help to resolve this oversupply.Increase the amount of Thick Leather Squares needed to make a Cured Thick Leather Square from 4 to 5. See my reasoning for the Silk Scraps above as to why I'm suggesting this change.Increase the amount of Orichalcum Ore needed to make an Orichalcum Ingot from 2 to 3. See my reasoning for the Silk Scraps above as to why I'm suggesting this change.Increase the amount of Mithril Ore needed to make a Mithril Ingot from 2 to 3. See my reasoning for the Silk Scraps above as to why I'm suggesting this change.Increase the amount of Silver Ore needed to make a Silver Ingot from 2 to 4. There is currently a massive oversupply of Silver Ore on the Trading Post (nearly 19m as of this post), and currently Silver Ore isn't really used for much other than low-level jewelcrafting and Xunlai Electrum Ingots necessary to craft Aurora and Vision. Potentially also look at using Silver Ore in future releases for new bags or equipment, or combined with other rarely used ores (like Gold Ore) for new Ascended items (maybe from one of the new maps).I realise that this may make things a bit more expensive for people going forwards, but it would also mean using up the oversupply of materials already in the game, and potentially create a way for people to farm for gold who may not like the current best gold/hour farms. What does everyone else think? Are there other materials that could benefit from a change similar to the ones suggested above?
