  1. Technically, all skins released through the gem store are released through the Black Lion Trading company and are designed by in-game Tyrians. So all skins produced are canonical. Also, the way skin releases are worded makes them skins sound like replicas and not the real thing, if you read some of them. If you look, Evon Gnashblade talks about a lot of them himself. Plus, the game does have demons in it, so why not angels.

  2. So I usually play the game on the lowest settings or have my game render the least amount of players as possible. I find the game runs much smoother when I do.

    The problem is, though, that when you're in maps that have the essence, like Bjora and Drizzlewood, whenever it loads a new player, it shows the animation of that player gaining the highest tier of essence acquisition and plays the audio that's like a popping noise.

    So during player-heavy events like Drakkar and the Citadel raid, you constantly see players exploading with their respective essence color and hear the popping noise.

    could we maybe change it so that players don't do that whenever they load?

    P.S. If you're unsure, I mean the essence gathered when killing Aberrant, Fallen, and Sons of Svanir.

  3. Doing some of the dailies for this map seems to not be registering and doesn't award completion. I did Drakker yesterday, which was a daily, and the daily for it didn't complete. i also did Raven's Blessing, which was a daily yesterday, and the daily didn't complete for it. Today, I did the Whisper of Jormag daily strike for Bjora Marches and that did not complete either.

  4. All of this killing dragon stuff was before we knew that killing them had drastic consequences. If we kill them now, all their magic gets released into the world and literally throws off the very fabric of reality. So, we need some sort of conduit. Something to absorb that power so that it doesn't destroy the world.

    All that prep for Zhaitan was before we really ever knew anything about them.

  6. I've reflected quite a bit of Lich Form autos. They hit me when I have my magnetic aura up, hit themselves for 5k and then panic. Kind of fun. It is very punishing, though, if they catch me off guard, which does happen sometimes. But it also keeps them out of shroud, which is an advantage for me. I like the interesting gameplay and tradeoffs it gives.

  7. Cleansing Fire did go from 5 conditions cleansed to 3, and Lightning Flash got damage reduced, but cooldown reduction for them as well, I think. Although Cleansing Fire was initially 3 conditions cleansed and got a buff to 5 recently.

  8. It's not perfect, but I found a fun build. I love lightning rod, so I was determined to try out this new trait. I like using it with the earth shield conjure. So I can just equip the shield, switch to whatever attunement I want and use one of its 2 interrupt abilities. I'm running it with d/w tempest Most of my damage comes from interrupts. It's pretty fun. It's also worth noting that the shield's damage coefficients were not changed. So it hits for a lot, combined with lightning rod. Catches lots of people off guard, all while generating barrier and a nice invulnerability for when I have to hide and wait out conditions or cooldowns.

  9. The "Defeat Rhendak the Crazed" event in Diessa Plateau does not give proper rewards when completed. It's supposed to spawn another chest on the ground, other than the one Rhendak comes out of, once Rhendak is defeated, even when only doing it once a day. This extra chest rarely appear. Speaking of chests, actually, the same can be said for the Flame Legion Fire Shaman in Iron marches. That chest rarely appears either.

  10. Anything made from the gem store, usually even voiced by Evon Gnashblade himself, is merely a replica made to look like something. It isn't real, just made to look real. They have really good (probably underpaid) designers at the Black Lion trading Company. You'll find lots of posts about the gem store on the Guildwars2.com page from Gnashblade himself. So there's your lore, created by Evon Gnashblade, an in-game CEO of the black lion trading company.

  11. I was in mid gold with my Dagger/Focus Tempest. I was water, Air, and Tempest. I had After Shock, Conjure Earth Shield, and Arcane Shield utilities with The Glyph as heal and Rebound as elite. For Water I was 231, Air 323 and Tempest 323. If I wanted more aura play for team, I would go 123 in air instead as the precision for 123 in Air is more selfish. I also had the sigil that steals a boon on interrupt (Absorptions) and that cleanses a condition (Cleansing) on weapon swap with Rune of Air and the Avatar Amulet.

    The build doesn't have too much condi clear, so it doesn't do too well against enemies that apply a lot of different conditions, like Scourge. But this build focuses mostly on locking down opponents with either interrupts and immobilize. It's an absolute nightmare against enemies that use projectiles, don't have stunbreaks, or can't cleanse the immobilize . It's mostly a damage build, but still offers great support through auras, regen and condi clears, reflects, and Rebound for when someone might die.

    The build also has 2 invulnerabilities for waiting out conditions or cooldowns. It does a ton of damage by overloading air and then switching to water. I regularly get both top damage and healing.

    Earth Shield adds a little fun for pulling enemies into your aoes, off point, of down a ledge and gives a nice reflect, an invuln, and 2 interrupts for lightning rod with some barrier and a block. The build also heals on block, so that with Arcane Aura make for some nice heals.

  12. Conjure Earth Shield grants Toughness and Vitality. The Vitality it grants does not synergize with traits like Elements of Rage, which should increase Precision based on Vitality. So my Precision should increase when I equip the shield. It actually decreases.

    Further, auras gained through conjures and the Conjurer trait do not activate Zephyr's Boon, which should be giving Swiftness and Fury when I gain an aura.

    Further still, Master's Fortitude grants Vitality. If I also take Elements of Rage to then convert my Vitality into Precision and then take Ferocious Winds to convert Precision into Ferocity, the Vitality from Master's Fortitude isn't taken into account.

    Like, what the Kitten. What am I supposed to play on my Elementalist for a damage build? Please fix all these traits. They should work together.
