well i feel very mislead by the roadmap, I literally thought we were getting multiple "bonus" events from halloween and i feel really dissapointed. I was looking forward to what these events might be but i guess its only one event instead of multiple new events and i guess its just a retooling of the clock tower. people in the thread have confusion as to what "bonus events" are on the dev timline? What are the "bonus events" I assume it was related to halloween (maybe its not). I assumed its multiple events since its plural (i guess its just the clock tower? which would be 1 event).
If you checked the blogpost linked in the Roadmap, you'd read about " the return of bonus events similar to those we ran in the wake of Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons™." Which were the Fractal Rush, the Skritt hunt, and upcoming other stuff. As many said, the roadmap says
* Halloween
* Bonus events
Not "Halloween bonus events"

Yeah, apparently the merchant from there was removed but can be now found at Fort Marriner right next to the waypoint, or at the Inner Harbor (The wedding island).

It is the chestpiece from the Acolyte armor set.

You can only get it on your first completion of the week, so if you have already completed the strike this week you cannot drop it and have to wait for the weekly reset.

Well this is weird... I'm not sure if this is intentional or just glitched. For example I saw a named Dwarf in Droknar's Light - who is normally not in a stone form - in stone form.
On the other hand Timin and his friend and a few other Dwarves in core Tyria now appear out of stoneform. So if a Dwarf is either in stoneform or not means they can change it or it might be glitched.
Riley Waylit and Von Dvelverunner have both pictures of them in stoneform on the wiki, but for me they weren't in stoneform. That's because the stone form is technically just an infusion aura applied to NPCs, and afaik there is one setting in Options that makes auras bugged on interaction and shows the npcs or players without it. I have seen it multiple times myself.

Are you willing to share?
If it's a bug, that needs to be fixed.
You get one for completing the Decade of the Dragons achievements. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Decade_of_the_Dragons#achievement6735

I found a note in the tower that talked about how the wizards were tracking activity in the Isles, so I hope that's a clue to the third map being there.
There are multiple notes and dialogue like this, about various places. One includes the Kirin Peak in Cantha. Nayos is imho the most logical choice considering the story.

counting a city as a map is just laughable(yes its a map, but its a map that nothing really happens on other than races.) so in reality we have 2 playable maps
Except Anet doesn't count it as a "map" but always calls it an outpost. It was advertised there would be 2 maps on launch + one outpost, and one additional map via post-launch releases for SotO.

No one will tell you anything there, lol, You will be lucky if you can get pass all the GATE KEEPERS to do anything. LOL, i mean i tried to help out at some point, everything I put up is either removed, edited and throw away like I never did anything, so I don't know, I tried to contribute, its just not a friendly environment for me to want to contribute my time, I rather play the game.
Please note:* If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed by others, do not submit it.This is a text you get when you are about to submit an edit. It's a very good advice.
And Inculpatus already linked the project's page, but yes, the rewards come from ArenaNet.

I'm still unclear on whether it can just be deleted, the wiki isn't clear. I try to use it and it says it "short-circuited" so it's probably played its part, but there's that part of me that says "they may use it in another mission and what if you don't have it?" Paranoid, I know.
It is only used for the Beta Tester achievement in the second story instance, otherwise you can delete it. If it is needed in the future, it's been confirmed you can reobtain the gizmo from Eye of the North.

Funny thing is that before launch it looked like a consolation award for those that had gotten the Skyscale the old way.
Instead…
It never "looked" like that, they outright said you need to complete the new collection to get the skin.
> After you complete the Flight Training Mastery line and the Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure skyscale collection, a new collection will open up that awards a Kryptis-themed skyscale skin.

Yeah, while the Celtic naming convention happens a lot, it is absolutely not a requirement and definitely not a pure lore thing. Just have a look at the sylvari npcs, and you will find plenty of those that do not fit it. Being named after plants goes waaay back to the core game.

WHAT. I mean it seems there was no elegant solution to this dumb mastery but again WHAT.
I don't even think the article says that.
I literally posted verbatim the paragraph from the article, but ok.

Ok that got me thinking. People who go from FTP to SOTO would not have any elite specs anyway, right? I can already envision the complain posts 😅. Thinking about it more: Does that not mean they cannot use certain weapon choices also? In the process devaluating the weapon choice/skills/freedom selling point of the Expac? I wonder how that can work in anyway.
Yes, Anet confirmed you will be able to use weapons even from elites of expansions you do not own.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/combat-in-guild-wars-2-secrets-of-the-obscure/
QuoteThat means that even if you don’t own the other expansions, you’ll be able to mix and match weapons from the elite specializations associated with them. (You’ll still need to own the appropriate expansion and fully unlock each elite specialization to make use of its trait line—not to mention getting the signature weapon and armor piece!)

Nope, the upgrade required is not in the game, and very likely will never be, meaning that you cannot enter there besides a glitch.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pain_Cliffs#Trivia
QuoteThere is an object that can be seen, but not reached, in a small corridor found near sixth checkpoint with the wall indicating the unimplemented Glove of Power upgrade. Players are not able to access it, as the nearby block cannot be destroyed. While some were able to reach during the initial release of World 2 in 2013 as well as in 2017, it wasn't coded to do anything at the time, and as its creator Josh Foreman no longer remembers what the item was to be, its purpose is unknown.

Or...you are experiencing DR with the character that didn't leave the area.
It is exactly this. People are trying to farm the Arborstone HP for rewards on a single character and are getting hit by the Diminishing returns. It is not a bug, it's there to prevent people from repeatedly farming a single event. You need to move the character out of Arborstone and do another activity or event.

It is not a bug, you are just hitting Diminishing returns, which prevents you from farming a single event all over again on the same character. You need to use the character in other map and do other activities (or simply not use that character for some time) before you can get rewards again.

it's that the guideposts that do exist actually lead players to believe this achievement is bugged rather than even hinting that forging steel isn't a valid vision.
The wiki is quite straightforward about it though, but people have often issue with reading, as proved in this very thread.

Does it count monthly towards the daily too?
It must count the monthly too, because I have exactly 277 points in the monthly category.
Ok, Thank you very much 🙂
Yes, it counts dailies + monthlies for people who gained any before they removed that system.

I hope yall liked them redoing ls1, because that appears to have killed ls6. Personally what make me sad is they spent so much time changing the watchwork artwork when they could have made new artwork for kanaxai and the demon horde in the new map. Instead we have 1 new model, the oni and they could not even the terrifying sound effects they had in gw1.
They started working on post-EoD content very early after the expansion launched (they announced it in March 2022), so S1 definitely did not kill S6, lol.
Also source for the "spent so much time changing the watchwork artwork?" I do not remember the devs giving any number.

There is a limit of 15 000 achievement points from the daily achievements, after you reach that number you will no longer get the AP from dailies, only the items. You can check that number when you hover over the AP points in the hero panel.

May I just get clarification on this? So the change to the Statuette Vendor is permanent (it will always have everything on offer like it does now) - then the 'Limited Time Opportunity' that the mail (we plentifully received) mentions is just the per-week turn in of materials for statuettes? (just wondering cause I thought the 'limited time' opportunity meant the whole thing with the statuettes, so also that the vendor was expanded)
Yes, only the Black Lion weekly missions are limited. The statuette change is permanent and unrelated to the mail.
