  1. on a yolo mesmer i can reach about 15-25k dps in a 2s burst.on a full glass zerg warrior with ax OH in a good fight (as in zergs actually clash and stay engaged in melee range) i can reach 7-8k dps over 60s+.a dh can sustain15-30k dps for 60s+ depending on the enemy group size. just to emphasis those numbers again, 30,000 damage per second for a minute.

its broken, no two ways about it.

  2. hello,i play small group action with an organized group, we (me) ran this build alongside a fb, auramancer ele and two dps. it worked well as an off dps that gives a lot of aoe quickness (usually at 15-20s of quickness in fights on the group), we were comfortably able to grind through groups of 15 ish with that comp. i ran this build for about one month testing it with different traits/sigils/weapons/support gear, all that, this was the best result i could find for my own playstyle (just to note i used the traits in domination to reflect the changes coming on tuesday, confounding suggestions will become a trait that grants the gs4 double summon, you want more clones): http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PiwAEx7lVwSYesFWJOST7tXA-zRRYihWBH1E1lSmhQtFQvRQFJgazi+jbA-e

now that said, this build is shithouse in zergs. it cannot sustain clones (no mesmer build can in zergs) and you just kinda do nothing, very low actual dps, very low quickness uptime. you can change it to use a scepter to proc the clones on the auto attacks but again, clones quite literally get deleted on spawn in zerg fights (you can use the aa on walls/gates to get a lot of clones/shatters done but that doesn't really functionally change much).

for the patch mesmer is going to be pretty bad in general i think, it probably won't be a part of the core zerg meta in the coming weeks outside of 'we need a veil', this might be a good option for that role, but if you're new definitely add some knights or cavalier stats to your build (or soldiers stats if you're finding it very difficult to stay alive). goodluck with it!

edit, i should have added the core trait of this build (the quickness) is getting it's base duration changed from 2s to 1s, that's a huge nerf to what this is meant to be doing.

  3. hi!

ive been on 14 different servers over the course of my gw2 wvw (rank 5900) life!

irl caused me to move to na so i went there for a few years (im primarily an eu persons).

na is shit now because noone plays but 100% the roamers are better on na. na roamers play to win, eu roamers play to fight, or at least that was the case over the last 7 years in my experience!

na better roamers, that said, na is dead af, eu is the last juice.

  4. I think it's a wider issue than just DE but I do agree that sub-class is really, really poorly thought out.

Many of the strongest builds in small scale WvW are designed to be fun to play but (IMO) seemingly had very little thought put in as to what it is like to play against.

I main Mirage and play at an ok skill-level and I can honestly say that class is broken. But then I see a warrior in invun waiting to die from old age or a ranger ping 5k hits from "1500" away or engi's aoe or scourge/fb tanking 10 people. I'm sure everyone here could list a few more.

It feels frustrating to attempt to be competitive (accounting for rng sandbox) when these classes are seemingly designed without this in mind.
