    awful, but it's Anet's own excuse as they've literally said in the past that UI changes take a lot of time and effort to pull off, even the seemingly simple ones like adding 1 new skill to the Warclaw that's taken them 3+months at this point because they're waiting on "UI changes".

    It's pretty common knowledge at this point that the Gw2 engine is likely one of the oldest and most poorly optimized engines still actively used in the industry (Bethesda
    might
    have them beat) and a big limitation on what they can actually do in the game specifically regarding the UI depends directly on the engine and how hard it is to change the code they wrote over 7 years ago (longer if you consider this is a modified Gw1 engine). So something as simple as adding a search bar could potentially take some poor dude 250 hours to do because they had to literally re-write half of their 7 year old back-end legacy code to do it.

    Yes it is terrible design, but all I'm saying is it

    not be terrible by choice.

    I don't buy that at all. There are clearly components IN THE GAME for this.

    Coherent UI, but that thing doesn't work well in some circumstances

  2. Okay, I want to thank you guys for giving us a heads up on what is changing.Here is the I things I have in my mind right now:

    • Ancestral Grace: This skill no longer evades attacks. Increased recharge from 18 seconds to 20 seconds. If at least 1 ally other than yourself is healed, the recharge is reduced by 5 seconds.This might be a valid nerf, but wasn't necessary for the PvE. You could just have reduced the range with the evade time.Also, are you guys going to fix the bug with skills like Ancestral Grace and Celestial Dash (Cairn special action key)? Some times you use it and you stay at the same place... It's been like that for months.

    The Holosmith (trade-off?) wasn't necessary imo, It would be okay if you guys increased the overheat damage penalty. Just don't forget that Holo needs a small buff in PvE compared to the other jobs and you guys just nerfed it in PvE...Scrapper got tweaked again and lost his F5 skill, but got a better function gyro, that's great. But stealth got a buff with that cause no more Detection Pulse. We could use more revealed, for example, Necro only has access to revealed in the core Shroud. This could be changed to make specs like Reaper/Scourge have access to it too.

    Long Range Shot and Spatial Surge, the damage scales dynamically now, cool less text, but there is something I don't understand. Why the damage increase with the range? I feel like those skills should have higher damage at close range and lose potency beyond the 600/900 range threshold. The current meta of this game in PvE is 99% of the time stack with your friends at the boss feet, then you have these skills that deal more damage at long range which make them useless in most cases and you also have rangers/mesmers camping at trees pressing 1 and getting zero support from their allies...I don't need to mention rangers in PvP/WvW dealing 4~9k damage at 1600 range of you, but at least Soulbeast got a nerf yay!

    For Necro, I agree that they should be able to keep their Healing/Utility/Elite while in Death/Reaper's Shroud. I also hope that Scourge Harbinger Shroud AoE effect will get some cleanup with this update because that effect is a mess and I don't know why you guys left it like that for so long.

  3. Here are a few things I have in my mind fur now:

    • When we turn the option "Show All Players Names" Mesmer clones/phantasms are also included, it would be nice if they could be removed from that category.

    • Converters, it is possible to change all converters to have a merchant UI? Merchant UI is more convenient because it automatically uses stuff from our storage/bank and we don't need to click multiples times.

    • I am not sure if this one is a QoL but, the hotkey "Snap Ground Target" (not Toggle) sometimes get stuck making it active always, not sure what is the cause, but when it happens I have to manually go in the options and uncheck the "Snap Ground Target to Current Target" box. I believe it is a bug.

    If I find something else I'll post here again.

  4. Is good to know you guys are working to make everything function properly. I just hope this system doesn't take long to be released, this change is really important for the WvW community.

    Would be nice if you guys adjust white mantle portal device to be used in raids. Also, allow the dhuum throne in raids, the others chairs works, but the throne doesn't...

These are great news!I don't think the world transfer at cost of gems is a good idea, it just looks like a way to break out of the balance system using money, a option to randomly reroll to a new server one time in each season would be better. Although, I see no problem in asking for gems to transferences between regions.
