  1. @Fueki.4753I suppose if Rytlock was his cub or at least a relative, it would make sense why he seems so obsessed with Rytlock and then Ryland. He'd want a successor he can rely on.
  2. Yeah fair point about Logan @Fueki.4753. But as for the topic of Imperators being descendants of the Khan-Ur, I had forgotten about that. Does that mean Rytlock is a descendant of the Khan-Ur? Bangar did say he could be Imperator. Although it's possible he was just trying to bait him even more.
  3. An interesting thing about this and going off the theory I put above of Palawa Joko actually being some sort of spirit that created a lich physical form by possessing 'Ignatious', is that we do have a precedent like you say for massive disasters occurring with the creation of powerful beings like this. Khilbron becoming a lich is one, but in terms of the activities of a spirit, Shiro Tagachi is another. His presence alone was enough to create the plague in Cantha. So it stands to reason that a powerful spirit possessing a necromancer to create another lich could create something like the Scarab Plague.
  4. The crackpot theory I'm going to go with is either Joko had the diary planted to mislead people about his true origin, or the person we know as Palawa Ignatious Joko is not the result of just one person becoming a lich. He may have been a being that predated a person he possessed, who is probably a young prince (and likely a necromancer) called Ignatious, or "Iggy". And a result of the possession is that to an extent their identities and personalities merged. It's worth noting that we never heard Palawa Joko's middle name (as far as I know) until the 'Long Live the Lich' patch. He seemed content to refer to himself as Palawa Joko, whereas the diary suggests that in his youth, Ignatious was the preferred name. Maybe that indicates some change in identity. Regardless I'm sure this wasn't the intention of the writers and they want Joko's story done with but maybe this is a loophole for people who don't want it to be over.
  5. I know this won't happen but I think it's interesting to think about it. If you are playing as a Charr in the Blood Legion, then as a soldier in the Blood Legion you could become Imperator. Think about it, Bangar said there is no greater force than the combined ranks of the Charr. And discounting the Elder Dragons, the scary thing is he's right. Also, Charr culture shows that if you kill your superior you can take their place. It's how your own character rose through the ranks and Bangar dared Rytlock to kill him and do the same. And with Bangar's attempts to unite the legions, there's already talk being thrown around about a new Khan-Ur. Through the events of 'Ghosts of Ascalon' the Claw of the Khan-Ur, a symbol of the unity of the Charr, and kind of a de-facto badge of office of the Khan-Ur was found. If the player character was to kill Bangar, become Imperator of the Blood Legion, then also retake full command of the pact as its Marshal (something that was offered to the Commander before, and Logan clearly is willing to follow the Commander's orders. He even said "I feel like I should be saluting you."), then claim they were the new Khan-Ur, all that would be left is for Smodur to hand the claw over. Flame Legion is in no position to object, Ash Legion doesn't have the brute force to overwhelm the full might of the Blood Legion and the Pact, and anyone else who decides to back the Commander, and so all that's left is the Iron Legion. And all the Charr would see the Charr Commander as a hero. And to top it all off, the Charr seem to be primarily under the impression that Aurene, an Elder Dragon, is at the Commander's beck and call. And even despite that not being true, the Crystal Bloom has also allied with the Pact. There's a good chance a large portion of the Iron Legion would turn on Smodur if he dared to object to the Commander becoming Khan-Ur. And bam, the largest army Tyria's ever seen would be formed.
  6. The reason she's so much smaller may also simply be because she is still way younger than the other Elder Dragons. We don't know the Deep Sea Dragon's power level, but from a brute force standpoint Aurene is stronger than Jormag and Primordous. But she is only a few years old, and they are both at least 10,000 years old. And given there's no mention from the ancient races of them managing to kill an Elder Dragon (although Joko did claim to have been the one who turned Kralkatorick into an Elder Dragon, if he can be believed, so that might have happened in the last cycle), we can safely say the remaining Elder Dragons are all at least 20,000 years old. They've had a lot of time to grow. A side note is that they've also had much more time to learn how to use their power. So Aurene shouldn't underestimate Jormag.
  7. Hey I was wondering if BoB was still recruiting? Been playing for a few years. I live in Sydney and I've been wanting to get into the game more by switching to an NA server and it'd be great to have a guild in my timezone.
