  1. The daily system, related to achievement points, was a terrible idea since the beginning of gw2.They somehow managed to put an end on that system, but there's still seasonal stuff. So don't worry, you will be farming forever if you are an ap farmer.

So There I was after a long day joining a squad doing Hall of Chains and doing my best with my Barrier + Heal Scourge build (I'm a Necro main) ya know keeping people healthy and safe till we got up to Dhuum. So I was like "oh boy this the finally" and I'm being asked what my skill level is... So I told them I was new and got kicked instantly. Ok no biggy I'll find another group, so I joined another one and got kicked within 10 sec just for being a Necro and this happened with 3 other groups as well within 10 min of time. As a person with severe Social Anxiety this is not very motivating. I get insults thrown at me like "Noob go train" or "No Necros, Thieves..." and if I ask them if there is any problem they feel the need to humiliate me even more. Where did I think that interacting with people would go well. It causes me to eat myself up and ask "what did I do wrong ?" or "what could I have done to make it better". I'm just a person that tries to make something out of life after every setback and curve ball, but I guess if you're treated like an outcast in real life it also reflects online and there is no point trying to be something else. Anyone else in the same pandemonium ?

Toxicity apart, the reason ( and I chose to use the word reason instead of problem/issue, because it's something which is related to simple aspect of the game ) is that players take for granted that everybody knows which is the meta tier, and he has the right class for the right encounter.

Given a specific challenge, the players will try anything to lower the difficulty of the encounter, which includes:

    • Using voice chat.
    • Using the best build ( Profession, equipment, infusions, food, etc ).
    • Class Swap if needed ( everybody, since the game throws you equipment aoe, many players could bring support to party just by having more classes, and by knowing how they work ).
    • Recruit for the run only experience players ( with many tokens ).
    • Etc...

If you go not following this pattern, there's a higher possibility of losing time ( because of wipes, due to low dps, low heals, etc ).And since the raid is made for up to 10 players, think what could happen if anybody try to play the way he wants.

At last, this is not a criticism.I just explained what players want in order to save time and lower to increase to the top the chance of success.

  3. Since the game is about aesthetic, everything should be available for everybody.Which doesn't mean that it should be for free, but only available.

Want a skin which is unlocked after 10 cm achievements? You can go for it.Want a skin which is worth 9999 golds? You can go for itWant a skin which is part of a bundle which cost 2k gems? You can go for itWant a skin which is randomly dropped from BLC? Then it should be to be traded through tp, because skins locked within random chests are just a scam.

edit: about this specific one, isn't it sometimes for sale through streams/events/etc? A seasonal stuff i mean.

    • I have no friends who play this game and i dont like to play alone.
    • i dont know if i should buy pof .
    • i dont know which profesion and race i like to play.
    • dont know how to make fun of this game

can someone give me some tips and help me out? thanks

Think of GW2 as a filler game.

You don't need to farm nor grind, because the game is meant for exotic geared players ( and spvp has no equip at all! ), except fractals. If you get bored about the game, to me it's simply normal.

When this happens, find something else to do when it comes to VideoGames ( maybe just continue to do the daily login if you want to save for the future some extra golds ), and come back when there's something new!

You don't have POF yet ( i don't know about HoT ), so at least the story and the living story could give you 30/40 hours of playtime ( even more if you want to explore the new maps and train your mounts ). Also work towards in order to get a griffon is a nice idea, because it's fun to dive in the skies watching the pleebs on the ground ( joke, but it's definitely fun even if it let you skip every encounter ).

As other have suggested, there's the possibility that a guild and some friends could renew you interest in GW2, so you should definitely give it a try.But remember also what i said at the top of my post ( about the fact that you should try to accept GW2 as a filler game ).

    Regards

More than 1 minute to bring down a class, and you have to reset 12 times because the class you are against is facetardroll. It's a good way to explain how memser works and the skill needed in order to play it.

Get off your high horse. S/D thief ain't the most complicated class either. It's about at faceroll as it gets when it comes to thieves.

I'm not saying Mesmer isn't faceroll however, but there are very few classes that require some semblance of skill these days.

You said that thief need to disengage from 6-12 times in order to beat 1 class. You said everything dude, i just underlined in a different way how it is the current situation ( go and spam with thief then feel free to go back and spam with mesmer ).

No, I didn't say that. Some other person did. I do not play Mesmer and I do not play thief. I'm merely stating that s/d thief doesn't require 300iq to be decent at.

Then why you quoted me when i was answering to another person?

Because, what you were saying was wrong. S/D thieves strength are their reset ability coupled with high, unblockable burst damage. They should not be able to stay in a 1v1 head on while having the potential to reset on a button press. So, to answer your question. Yes, an S/D thief should have to reset and bait cooldowns in order to beat the strongest 1v1 class currently in the game.

Then after 8 minutes the match is over and you have disengaged 8 people playing 1v1.Definitely balanced as explanation.

Thief will continue to do his +1 decap and no 1v1.Nobody will waste 6-12 ooc rec + return in order to kill a class "1v1 mid dude".

  8. I would say Male Norn or Male Charr, because they are mighty. But also human and Sylvari could be a good moderate choice ( more realistic and less pumped ).

I suggest you to try on SPvP lobby the greatsword and hammer animations ( which are the best animations for a warrior ), then decide yourself.

Ps: remember that with both large characters as charr and norns it is difficult to achieve tasks like JPs.

They're getting off lucky, and the same people will just be back in 3 months to start the routine over. In the meantime, they'll probably be replaced by different offenders that don't shout what they're doing from the rooftops.

A ban like this doesn't solve the issue at its core. Win-trading is still going to be prevalent, people are just going to be more discrete about it. Tossing out a ban to a few key-offenders every few months is a great way to make things
    seem
    okay.

One wave of permanent bans would solve all wintrade problems , noone would risk valuable account for just title , do you understand that ?

I am not sure that will solve definitely the problem, but even so it would be good for the community itself.Be able to see that ANET staff care about the situation created by those who deliberately choose to ruin the game could only turned into a positive meaning.

I am also sure that the point of exploiting the ranked season is 99.9% related to a main account, and once the account is gone those players won't try anything back ( there's no sense in having a title on a new account, because having a veteran account will require infinitely more time that exploiting a ranked season ).

  10. Well, let's say there were 2 exploits:

    1. The playersbase, focused on farming instead of understanting the game.
    2. Me, one of the few who did the opposite ( but to be honest, 1/2 hours during the beta were definitely enough to understand how the new items would have worked ).

Here you can find more informations about, even though in order to make money it's pretty late ( but you still can manage to cap MF easily ).

Here's my artificer almost full ( i will need soon to move em to an alt ).Since the mf system is not structured in a proper way, is it obvious that is going to be somehow reworked, but the real question is when.

Currently, MF as a wallet currency would be imho the best ( then they will be able to put a vendor whenever they want ).And ofc, for those who still haven't reached the cap, the vendor could be used to trade the currency for essences, which could be consumed.

    ps:
    message for ANET
    > an eater won't do ANYTHING, because unlike ascended materials, there are no way to stack or use em ( we do have 8 ascended material eaters, a way to convert 100 units of em into a ingot, and some recipes which can be used. Also they can be fit into storage raw or refined ).

There is no way he earned all that by playing the game normally. Obviously he exploited some bug or something, I have been playing this game for 5 years EACH DAY with 10+ hours per day and I have max magic find of 273%.

    LOL

Check then for the images i posted in page 4.I definitely broke the game.

    Best exploiter EU.

Well exotic essence of luck has 200 luck. Legendary essence of luck has 500, but I never heard you can convert lower potions into it. Is there really any way to do this?

You can't.He probably wrote the wrong number
