Wait so you have to play through the entire thing and then need to replay it to get the achievements? How is that a good idea??? Why cant you just do the achievements on your first playthrough

I can't get progress for the Gates of Maguuma Achievements. Specifically I tried to do the achievements in the first story instance "Disturbance in Brisban Wildlands". There are 3 achievements and I am 100% certain I did them correctly, but I got credit for none. Where I think the bug comes from is that I am replaying the story with a friend who already has all the achievements done, does this somehow bug it? I was the one opening the instances too. If this is a bug, it's absolutely terrible and if not then maybe I missed something? For example the achievements where you have to protect the seraph workers I am 100% certain we did this because we instantly killed all the enemies before they were even able to get close to the NPC's we have to protect.
