We've seen that before. Which plants are you harvesting?

Likewise, sometime the "push" happens, but not always.

Rutabaga, on 1 plot, spinach on 1 plot, and black peppercorn on the last. It happened on all 3 plots and on 2 accounts (so far). Will do the other 2 accounts later tonight.

  2. Since the patch yesterday the functionality in harvesting garden plots has changed. Before the patch you could stand in the middle of the 4 plant rectangle with NO seed pouches equipped and just hit "F" 4 times to harvest all 4 plots. Now once you harvest the nearest plant the next "F" will try to remove the plant and tell you you have to equip a seed pouch to do so. It is annoying and a lot more time consuming to have to stand on each plant to harvest it. Hopefully this is a bug and can be reverted to its previous functionality.

...Except that, as I said, Task Manager is rendered unusable, too. When the GW2 launch hangs, every other app I open also hangs, including Task Manager and the shut-down button on the Start window...

Well that isn't my experience. I could click on task manager to launch it after ctrl-alt-del. Even though task manager seemed unusable that was only the mouse being disabled in all the times I tried. If you typed "G" it would select the GW2 client process and then hitting the "DEL" key would delete it. That would take you back to a fully responsive computer where you could try to restart the GW2 client. Sometimes this didn't work but doing the task manger thing multiple times till it did was usually faster than doing 1 restart and getting all your windows back to the way they were just 1 time.

...A note for you guys - you do not need to restart a whole pc, just open "Task Manager" (ctrl + alt + del) and then end a process of the game (right click on gw2.exe and "End task")....

Only problem with this is clicking doesn't work. The way to get around this is type "G" to highlight the GW2 process and then "Del" to delete it. At that point GW2 will close and everything will be responsive again.

I'm having the same issue on two different computers: one running Windows 11, the other running Windows 10. I can hear the GW2 music playing, but the game launch never completes. The launch hangs before the character selection screen opens and makes all other apps unusable, even Task Manager, which means I can't force GW2 to close. The only way to regain control of my computers is to log out with Ctrl-Alt-Del or force shutdown with the power button.

Instead of doing that just hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and choose task manager. Type "G" to highlight the GW2 process and then "Del" to delete it. This will make your computer responsive again and you can try to restart the game. In all but 1 case the game has started on the first try after doing this, but be aware 1 time it took 4 tries. In any case doing this way is so much faster than a restart of windows.

Another problem with this is that if you multiclient that most likely will not work. Deleting the GW2 process will delete all clients.

"...Why in the WvWvWvW would you NOT have tested this before making announcements..."

Maybe because they don't have the number of free ANet employees to even populate 1 team. As far as public beta servers I doubt that they would get the number of players giving up their regular play time to populate the 6 teams needed to test out the functions that failed. The only way to do it was a large scale test like the one that just failed.

  7. OK this worked for me yesterday after 2 crashes during the final battle. For those I was staying behind the big pillars in the water and quite a few times I could not get to the platform fast enough to do the joint attack.

I was on my necro but did NOT use any minions. The greatsword and axe 1 & 2 attacks were all I used and I got it done during the second joint attack with Aurene. The key was NOT to leave the platform, but to stand at the very end of the rectangular part between the stairs  There are small pillars there that you want to place between you and the boss. Being this close means you can easily get to the big circle when the joint attack is ready while none of the boss attacks hit you there.

  8. Got the same problem with a level 23 Lost Precipice guild hall. None of the decorations or upgrades are showing up. We are also a small guild but I accessed this hall less than 24 hours ago with no problem. Another problem I am having in this guild hall is I can't travel to a Gilded Hollow level 69 guild hall from it even though I can travel to that level 69 hall from the open world.

I don't know if it matters, but I am on EU account and the guild owner is also EU.

  9. First of all I HATE this change, as it makes using my 4 accounts a real chore. I use a small app called GW2 LUA that keeps the passwords encrypted and also 2FA, so that should satisfy the security issue. As far as password managers - does KeePass actually fill in the GW2 launch/patch window? I use Norton Identity Safe for my password manager and it only fills in browsers with a plugin.

  10. The easiest way to get rid of this on Windows 10 Pro is to remove the 1803 update. You do this by going to All Settings / Update and Security / Recovery and choose the option to remove the update. This actually takes very little time. It also works under regular Windows 10, but more then likely the next time it checks for updates it will just reinstall it.
