  1. I treat other players as I want to be treated. At launch, alot of people helped me out with getting to know the game and now I have no problem doing the same. This is how the real world should be but unfortunately it isn't like that. That is why I love Tyria, its a beautiful world full of helpful and nice ppl.

assuming you are counting the MF bonus from Achievement points your actual cap is probably a little over 300%. If you are in fact at the cap the bar will change from yellow to green (luck bar) and you will no longer gain anything from consuming luck. At this point I suggest compressing all your luck take up less space with Artificer (no training needed) then save for GH, lunar New Year, etc. Otherwise, just trash it when that's too much trouble.

My bar is green and I have been storing my luck and storing my unidentified bags.

  3. Make sure the account magic find bonuses are not being counted. I currently have 319% (19% is from the account magic find bonuses). If you hover of the progression bar or somewhere in that area it should tell you how the amount is being factored.

  4. I completed Fungus Among Us adventure for the HOPE Collection III for a Silver ranking then used the Synergetic Generator promptly after completing the adventure and did not get credit for Legendary weapon collection. I contacted support and they stated they can not do anything about this. So I am reporting this bug .. like most people before me. I am willing to give you a screen shot or go to the support ticket.

How long did it take you to get to 300% and did you do anything special to get there? I'm just consuming all of the luck that I generate from salvaging and 300% looks like it will take years. Thanks.

i just salvaged all the gear I got from the Unidentified blues, greens and yellows. Sorry I didn't track how long it took me. Just been playing casually.

Best way to experience the game and story is playing it in chronological order.

First complete the Personal Story. There is a total of 8 Chapters.

Then watch GW2 Season 1 Movie: It's a youtube video I made that's 3hours and 24min long and it shows you the entire story that you missed and cannot currently experience. After that, you should start playing Season 2 story in game and onwards.

Here is what the story in chronological order looks like:

Personal Story -> Season 1 -> Season 2 -> Heart of Thorns -> Season 3 -> Path of Fire -> Season 4 -> Icebrood Saga -> End of Dragons (TBA)

When you finish personal story, watch this GW2 season 1 movie before playing Season 2:

I just wanted to pop in here and say I love this video. I give it to all of my friends just starting out.

I appreciate the advice, however I've made Pharus and The Binding of Ipos, so I know the grind ahead. The story/collection aspect of C&C is different, though. Also, after playing over eight years and only starting legendaries in the last six months or so, I had a lot of mats stocked up. But those two pretty much cleaned me out. I'm largely starting from scratch in that area.

I may use gw2efficiency this time around to help keep track, so thanks for that. I previously just printed out the ingredient lists from the wiki and kept track by hand.

    Again, thanks for the input.

Good Luck on your journey. Enjoy C&C's story. The first Gen 2's have a wonderful storyline.

  8. To give you more advise. Level up the proper crafting disciplines (Huntsman) and start crafting your time gated mats now as you will need alot in the seconded collection.  You are going to need alot of Elonian Leather Squares and Spiritwood Planks.

Check the wiki and Gw2Efficiency site for help on crafting.

Again take you time. A legendary weapon is a marathon not a race. You are looking at months not days or weeks for this weapon. If you are feeling burnt out. Step away and come back to it later. This is the advice I give all of my friends on their first Legendary.

  9. I would like to add on to Helan's question (also a late evening CDT player) above. I am considering getting into Raiding and going after Legendary Armor b/c of the future update that will be coming soon. Does your Raid group help out its members with the Armor collection? Just a curious question.
