  1. We thought about this, Revs will drop orbs like any other profession and you'll be able to inherit slightly modified versions of Revenant skills and use them on any profession (including Revenant). Yes, you can pick up your own profession's orb :open_mouth:
  2. We're aware of the Arah based Defend events not giving Bonus Event Credit (both for the community goal and personal credit). I'm working on a fix now, I'll update when I have more info. Edit: This should now be fixed
  3. Hey all,The World Boss Rush was a fantastic success. The reception and feedback from our players were beyond what we ever imagined. We’re now a few weeks after the ending of Season 4 and closer to the release of the next raid, so we are shipping in the 5/28 release everything necessary for our next event, Meta Event Rush. It will run from June 4th 10 AM PST to June 11th 10 AM PST, and you can find more about it on this Blog Post. As I previously mentioned on the forums (Here), your feedback speaks volumes and we have made some changes that we feel are for the best based on this feedback. World Meta Event will grant additional rewards for successfully completing specific Meta Events, and you can find further details on the Wiki (Meta-Event Rush). We’ve implemented a Tiered Community Goal as a part of this event. The Community’s progress towards the goal will be displayed in-game and will update every 15 minutes. There are 5 tiers for this event, all of which have goals set for the community to accomplish. All of the Community Goal Tiers will have different rewards and anyone who has participated in the end of a Meta Event will get these rewards when/if they log in during the World Meta Event. These rewards are available for a limited time while the World Meta Event is running. We’ve also drastically changed the Bonus Box and how many you receive for completing Meta Events. The idea is that doing these events should feel rewarding and that they should also feel good to open. As a reminder, rewards that come out of the box will stack (where applicable) with the same items in your inventory. Here’s a Preview of the Bonus Box: Again, all of the info on this event can be found on our Wiki – Here (Meta-Event Rush). On top of changes to the reward boxes, we’ve also added a cooldown on how often you can get Bonus Boxes from the same event. There will be a 15-minute cooldown buff placed on your character that is specific to the Meta Event that they completed. If your character completes this Meta Event while having this buff, they will not receive the Bonus Boxes again. I also want to note that, for this version of the World Meta Event, we did not have enough time to make any changes to the Defend events that occur as a part of the Arah Metas. These defend events will kick off like normal after a successful attack and do not have additional rewards for completing them. It is our intention to address this if we run another event that targets the Arah Meta attack events, but we won’t be able to do that for this event. Our next Special Event, that is not too far out, will be for World vs World. It will significantly “swap” up the gameplay and shake it to its “core” (for that reset). More to come as we get closer!
  4. Reading through your comments so far since the event has started, the main feedback that I'm seeing since the World Boss Rush started is that the box doesn't feel rewarding, with most players calling out that they "only got a few mats". I do want to point out that a Piece of Rare Unidentified Gear is a guaranteed drop unless you get a Rare/Super Rare drop. Going into this event we know that we have a lot we can improve on, and making repeatable rewards that feel rewarding is one of them. There are a number of designs internally to accomplish this, and getting rewards right is a critical part of making these events fun. Thanks for your feedback everyone, keep it coming!
  5. Any plans to resolve the ability to multi-loot bosses like people used to do with AB? The event is designed so that you can kill as many bosses as you want for as many bonus boxes as you want. Calling it "multi-loot" is a misunderstanding of what the "multi-loot" bug was. This requires (if it doesn't we will fix it) that you have participated and are present for the finalization of the boss event to get bonus loot.
  6. Since there's a mismatch between all of the encounters listed on the Wiki as "World Boss" and what has additional rewards during this event, here's the list of what has additional rewards this time around: Shadow BehemothFire ElementalSvanir Shaman ChiefJungle Wurm (Caledon Forest)Modniir Ulgoth Taidha CovingtonMegadestroyerGolem Mark IIShattererClaw of JormagKarka QueenTequatl the SunlessEvolved Jungle Wurm (Bloodtide Coast)
  7. Hey all, Thanks for sharing your ideas with us! I wanted this to be an open discussion, and so I’m also hoping in here to share some of my thoughts as well. I’ve read through all the ideas, and there are some that we put on our list of possibilities! Just so we’re clear, it is not a guarantee that we’ll be able to do them. Some further clarifications to set proper expectations below. Bonus events won’t always guarantee bonus economic rewards. We also want to be free to do things that shake up game modes substantially for a limited time or to try potential system changes that may not have been possible otherwise. One such event is being finalized, and we’re very interested in seeing players’ reactions! The No Daily Cap for the Meta-Event Rush will not make the first releaseUnfortunately, we will not be able to make this change for this run of the event. This is planned as a bonus for potential future runs of this event. The team working on the bonus events initiative is not a content creation team of the type outlined in Game Director Mike Z’s previous message. We don’t build content; we focus entirely on creating events in a way that doesn’t impact other teams and the content they create. In some cases, we’ll actually ship events along with releases. Feedback is important! We know that not every event can appeal to all players, but we want to make them as fun as possible for everyone. The events we’re running now aren’t set in stone—and neither are the rewards—because we want to keep things fresh and continue to improve them. Keep giving us feedback. We’ll keep reading it and communicating with you.
  8. This has everything to do with the forum software suite that was chosen to be used for the new forums. Without getting too deep into why, there are issues with how the forum handles non-standard inputs and how it surfaces those to clients without their control. There are native and legacy embeds that are allowed currently, but since the issues that were present at the time of launching this forum still existed, image upload and image embeds are disabled until further notice.
