    this is so stupid, but thank you for the info on this. Fortunately I have another equipment template that is full zerker and the healing was able to outpace the damage entirely.

    I guess if you consider specializing in single target damage but still dealing the same single target damage as other classes but bringing much much less cleave, no boon utility, while also being much squishier a *good spot*, then… sure. 

    This. Theif, especially specter needs more damage, more cleave, better survivability and crucial bugfixes. Thief is in anything but a good spot.

  3. Specter needs a damage increase and still cant target the main orbs during the base capture events in gyala delve with endless night. I dont know if this extends to all channeled skills but using endless night results in a no line of sight error which means the hitbox for the orb is below the ground

    There are way too many condi sources, condi on evade, condi on weapon swap, some skills that can apply 4+ condi with 1 hit... To balance the condi  creep anet also created way too many condi removal, a sigil that removes 3 condis on swap, a rune that doubles your condi removal, etc... Both need to be toned down together. 

     

     

     

     

    I'm not sure if you remember the HoT days of "zerker is the only option". granted boon meta is a thing, but we don't want to go back to PDPS only.

  5. Feedback on Theif changes.

    Pros:

    The update to the signets and the signets of power trait are a very welcome change, as are the two well changes, happy to see the CC well have an actual purpose now!

    Suggestions:

    In PvE specter is immensely hampered by three things

    1. Minimal shroud health. The reduction made sense for PvP and WvW but should not have affected PvE where sustain is desperately needed.

    2. Minimal initiative. Again i can see this being reasonable for PvP, but in PvE the direct result is that we are forced to spec into trickery to mitigate the damage done to the initiative bar, and in most cases, roll for initiative is a mandatory pick up. Specter needs either a restored initiative bar, much faster initiative gain, or dramatically lowered skill costs. The nerf to initiative feels simelar to what swipe did to steal or the weird "choose your nerf" system that was baked into untamed for a while, unenjoyable, unintuitive, and clunky.

    3. Lack of raw stopping power/cleave. As it currently stands specter is one of the lowest performing specs in terms of DPS and is completely overshadowed by daredevil both in condi and power. The quick and easy way to fix this is more torment applications on the dual skills for scepter dagger and scepter pistol. But that doesnt address the equally concerning issue of cleave. As it stands, if a specter wants to do any realistic cleave, the only option is shroud 2, 4 and 5. In essence, we need more cleave on the scepter.

  6. basically the damage reduction was a good idea. I was just really hoping for an option to toggle to prevent accidentally targeting allies. I have accidentally wasted my full CDPS burst on the druid in a raid squad before, thinking i was attacking the boss. this would be a huge quality of life improvement for specter mains like myself.

  7. i have mained theif since launch and adding good sustain to the class by making a viable condi damage spec fixes one of the issues i have had with the class as a whole, but there is still a very glaring issue i experienced. complete lack of weapon based AOE damage. if i were to make a solid adjustment to the scepter moveset i would modify skill 2 to give it an AOE torment application similar to revenant axe 5 or mace 3. inclusion of AOE damage potential is an inherant part of sustain as it allows us to handle more than one enemy at a time, which is almost perpetually what we face outside of core maps. specter has the opportunity to be the fix that this class desperately needs.
