I dont think anyone woke up one day and said "i'd really like it if Warrior was Dogtier."

i see this thread pop up alot in proffession forums.. and quite litterally no one is demanding other proffessions to suck, Anets Short cuts to "balancing" problems is what caused proffessions to be Dogtier and players tend to assossiate those who asked for Rightful nerfs to a few things as being the sole cause of nerfs.

Alike the thief nerfs we saw on EoD launch.

no one said "Nerf everything around shadow arts" People said "Rework Shadow arts as in current state its making Thief too oppressive". yet you see thieves say "People just dont want thief to be More then a "free kill" "

There are lots of things that need Reworking in GW2, Just because Anet Instead of implementing a Concrete fix just nerfs a whole bunch of stuff to delete things instead of those needed reworks, doesnt mean players are the problem. it means a Shortcut Anet took to "Budget" their balance patch Destroyed something u liked.

I.E was Mirages Evade broken in Season 9 PoF. Yah. did peopel Say Litterally gut Several builds. Nerf dodge Specifically to later on Delete said dodge No.

People were unhappy with Mirage season 9 bunker builds and Said the evade was Unfair. Anet could of taken that information and Worked on the Core issue. the physical Evades mechanics. instead they doubled down and Deleted a Dodge + nerfed its vigor entirely.

Hold your problems. to the company which chose how they balanced the proffession. Not with players who had a Issue with what was Dominating at the time, Anet nerf the wrong things and it generally topples over.

I.E Thiefs Complaints Were Primarily with its Sustain due to shadow arts. yet they Nerfed thief in a manner that basically forced Non-Spectre builds to only be able to use Shadow arts.. Quite litterally Deleting every buidl that didnt run shadow arts... Instead of just reworking Shadow arts...

Ah, yea - that's also something to point out:D It's looks like soon there will be 1 amulet to "pick", followed by 1 rune.

  2. Anyway, dmg on CC is too strong anyway, Even if nerfing was asked or no. Blizzard for eg learned it, brining 1st exp by reducing CC [implementing DR on CC], when rogue could kill max geared opponent with starting daggers, rotating with CC.

I am quite surprised that lasted that long in GW. Ofc GW have more ways to break stuns and other CC, but still its much easier for party members to burst disabled feo's, which should be strength (and is) in itself (at least in competitive environment) .

Back than, when Anet released 1st exp, there was necromancer build called "Fearomancer", which did that, and was reaping boons from feo's - that's all: No much dmg, but CC and reaping boons. Today, playing necro I feel, that I am playing fearomancer + burst dmg condi or power doesn't matter, because I have anyway effectively 70k HP (exluding HP of minions) :DDDDDDD (plus I can cleanse some condi from allies)

Idk what ya mean warr is pretty fair. Letz compare it to willbender. It cant outrun it thx to thousand dash/ ports. It cant stand in melee thx to aegis blind and Block. Willbender easily out dps a warr in like every way. The only thing warr got is more thougness

    That's glorious attribute 😄

Either this, meaning you're not using the skill correctly.

Or you need to learn to lead your attacks for your target, like a pilot in a fighter plane.

Practice rapidly switching through 1 or 2 attunements and try to get the delayed skills to hit at the same time. This is your standard spike.

Weaver gives you access to dual skills, and the concept is the same. You want to layer them so they hit at the same time.

In terms of advice for leading, it really depends. In PvE, mobs are always going to you, so that makes it easier. Drop skills on the kite path. In PvP, there's usually other scenarios you need to account for. After a while of playing, you'll be able to read the situation.

That right, I hope OP have learned something useful and from now on will be able to do dmg 😄

And of course, thanks for clarifying some advanced technique which by my mistake I missed to mention 😄

for classes to meet his critea (which is effectively excel at everything) he will never find.

the  game would have to reach homogenization on a mass scale, to realistically create a situation where every proffession can do litterally everything.

I.E Necro, u can take Harbinger or reaper for abit more mobility, but your never levelling with a Thieves mobility,

you can beef up Solo options to thief, but u'll never be Staff Mirage good.

every proffession has strengths and weaknesses. and things that its Elites Dont give it either not on the same scale to other proffession design, apartt of picking a main is effectively accepting that realistically. things can flex reasonably. but at the same time. those things wont alwayts be "meta" or the best options.. and it wont equal another proffession in alot of cases.

That's not a point. I play Ele but I don't complain about not being able to outmatch thiefs in mobility - yet I like Ele mobility - even its not the best. Same I don't complain about having weaker "minions" version, meanwhile necros have much more synergy it that then Ele - still I like Elementals - actually more then necros ugly stinks without time duration.

Point is, that his/her (depend on birth) 12yo attitude full of complains make it to not being able to like something.

im fine with the cool down sometimes in roaming the, fgs sucks, cuz no heal. Like guy said use for positioning or escape, or a burst then throw away. what they really need to do is admit they effed up in making the ele the only class that can’t weapon swap in combat. Like wut, so some classes can dissappear at any moment and walk away or perma stealth anytime, unblockable ccs, turn a person into a defensless moa in the middle of a fight, yet ele cant have a combat weapon swap because swapping between range and melee like pretty much every class definitely breaks the balance??????

    What?

If gw2 weren't made on a trashy outdated spaghetti engine from 2005, Wind Storm probably would've been something you could aim directionally for a vertical boost or smoother horizontal gap closer.

You mean like Thief Staff 5? or its something from other dimension that allow for vertical jump with smooth horizontal gap closer that is in game already, but "is not"?

  9. Thanks for turning my eyes towards Signet of Water, which just let my choose it over FireSig. I feel heavily out sustained vs condi mesmer 😄 (I don't like those cone-heads)

  10. Ah yea, that true - about lack of flips.

I was nearly disappointed seeing that there is only hammer completed, meanwhile rest of weapons are rendering thoughts like this:

Junior dev: what about rest of weapon
    Senior dev: fuh them

But I might be wrong on that.

  11. I didn't mean that more skills is better or worst. I just always thought that is ele/engi gimmick - pressing more buttons to have same impact like other classes with less press.

Untamed is much different then Sick'em [core/druid/SB] as it require more gimmicks to have similar effect.

By that I believe is a reason of some sort of confusion, which may lead ppl to think that untamed may be underrated, meanwhile is not. As a bonus they have absolutely amazing trait: Fervent Force - which is not only for weapons, but also Heal, Utility and Ult (right? :D)

All of that increase APM meanwhile I have seen many cores which just press buttons with queue'ing(?) rotation (which look bizzare)

  12. Lets remove falling damage from falling damage because "2 muh demege".

That all I have to say about concept of "balance" lead by community bending devs to their will.

    @Hotride - o, at least that.
