Today's patch introduced two new bugs to the nightmare fractal. Firstly, the altars between MAMA and Siax no longer display capture progress bars. Secondly, /gg-ing during Siax no longer properly resets the encounter. He remains hostile rather than despawing and being replaced with the interactable orb that used to restart the encounter. Respawning places you inside the arena and in combat immediately and notably makes the Mistlock Singularity inaccessible.

I was on the same map instance as you and in the same situation. Tagged the wizard with Aurene legendaries on both weapon sets, stayed for the defense event, and had the Uncharged Fragment of Prismatic Shadows in my inventory. I've not found an instance to check if the Arah capture event gives credit. Any ANet attention to this would be much appreciated. The capture does work if you're lucky enough to get an instance where people are willing to fail the defense event.
