Unable to transfer to a new server

I recently picked up the game again, but have moved from Europe to the US.  I bought gems specifically to transfer my account to a US server.  When I click the 'transfer' button in the character selection screen, all buttons on the dialog grey out and nothing in the game responds to clicks any more.  The sounds and movement of the character in the background continue, but I can't click on anything.  It sits like this for as long as I let it (tested up to 30 minutes or so) before I have to tab out and kill the game.

 

I submitted a support ticket, but just got a canned response saying it was a known issue and to watch the forums for updates.  However, I can find no other forum posts regarding this issue.  Does anyone know of any place I can get info?

I've not seen anything about this issue.

You could try updating your ticket and ask to have it escalated to a Senior Team Member.
