Gear acquisition.

Good day ladies and gentlemen!

I've got a question about gear.I chose several pieces of equipment(skins) for my character and going to start collecting it soon but can't find any decent information about how to obtain it. I know there is GW2 wiki but information which is written there - i've been playing this game for about a month and need more tips and hints.I don't ask you to tell me how to obtain these skins in detail. I just want to ask you to show me where to find for more info about it.Maybe there are any websites where such an info is presented for such newbies like me.Here is the list of equipment i decided to get(hope it is possible):

• Scrappers's mask
• White mantle Elite guard mask
• Magitech armour set
• Aetherized Rifle
• Holosmith's Lucent Vent
• Rubicon coat

I hope you can at least show me where to dig.Thx for reading this silly newbie post)

all the info here was found on the wiki (under acquisition for all items, apart from the Aetherized Rifle).

As a general rule, all questions like this can be answered by using the official wiki. You can even access it in game but using the command: /wiki in any chat box. If you type a space after wiki and then type in the name of the item you are looking for the wiki will open to that page (be specific as the search page is case sensitive). So to look for the scrappers mask you would type: /wiki Scrapper's Mask

To answer your questions though here is the information:

Scrapper's Mask: It has two requirements 1) you must own HoT and 2) you must have the scrapper elite specialization comepleted. The first scrapper you have that completes the scrapper elite specialization gets the mask for a reward. It is stat selectable but I think it has a limited number of selectable stat combos.

White Mantle Elite Guard Mask: This is obtained by completing the Head of the Snake Living story achievements. If you logged into the game during the time it was active this content was unlocked for you and you just need to complete the 21 achievements. If you do not have access to it, I believe it is obtainable through the gem store which unlocks all the chapters of the living story. Make sure you get Living Story Season 3 for this item.

Magitech Armor set: This is a gem store only armor set. Keep an eye on the Gem store as it does return every so often. The gem store is the only way to obtain it.

Aetherized Rifle: This is a black lion weapon. You can purchase it from the trading post or if it returns to the black lion chests you can buy or obtain in game black lion keys for a chance at one of the aetherized weapons. Since you want a specific one, the trading post is the best method for you. I don't follow them so I'm not sure of the current cost.

Holosmith's Lucent Vent: Like the Scrapper's Mask this is obtained in the same way but the requirements change as you need to own PoF and have the holosmith elite specialization completed. It's a reward to the first engineer on your account that completes the holosmith elite specialization.

Rubicon Coat: This can be obtained from the various Karma vendors at the Temples of the Gods in Orr. If you just want the skin, any of the merchants sell it for karma after the respective temple event chain has been completed. it costs 42,000 Karma. There are different stat combinations available and if you want one of them, use the /wiki I listed at the start to search for the coat as it lists the various star combos available. Most Karma armors are not salvageable so be advised on that if you plan on using expensive runes on the armor.

Thank you very much for such detailed answers!And if i'm not mistaken unlocking scrapper's mask and holosmith's lucent vent makes them available for all toons which are able to wear medium armor, right?

You are correct, the item will be account bound when first acquired but will unlock the skin in the wardrobe system. It will soulbind to the first character to either wear or select the stats of the item. Once soulbound, only that character can use that item. The skins, once unlocked, are always available for any character using that type of armor in the wardrobe tab in the "H" menu. Each time you change the look of one item it caost you a charge. Many things in game give you more charges including at least once per time through the daily log in rewards, you get 3 on that step.
