As a taiwanese user try to use steam launch

Last time I checked following countries got blocked on steam

China

India

Kazakhstan

Russia

Ukraine

Vietnam

After the steam launch Taiwan was added, which is really strange to me.

There's a china version of GW2 but we can't really play that since you need CN phone number for that.

Also you can type traditional Chinese (TW mainly use this) in game which Anet did a major display fix not too long ago, showing they did aware of us playing their game.

so why block it on steam :\? I just wanna let my other friends check this game out/leave a good review etc.

I think this is a restriction of Steam, not the game. Have you tried playing it without Steam?

It does work .

I 'm just very sad, it wouldn't be surprised me that someday they block the ip on official launch app.
