[NA] [PvE] Lifesong [Life] LFM Chill & Inexperienced Raiders for Blind Raids

Recommended Posts

Find this information & our application on our website: https://wra.life/gw2

🌟Glances

  • Blind Raids - No raid experience at all. We'll show up to the raids and attempt to figure them out with only in-game information. No /wiki.
  • 1 Day / 3 hours a week - Sundays at 7:00pm to 10:00pm Pacific Time.
  • Primary focus on a stress and anxiety free environment.
  • After the experience, not the rewards.
  • We're also looking for friends in general! We love to do all types of content in GW2 as a tight-knit group of friends.

No GW2 rep requirements. A lot of our guild activity is on Discord.

📖 History

[Life] is a new guild in Guild Wars 2! We come from a long history of World of Warcraft raiding from September 2013. Our only focus when making our guild was having a relaxed atmosphere to clear raids with, and have fun while doing it. We were successful! Over the years, we've managed to consistently clear ALL of the content in the game while retaining our pristine environment. A handful of us have been enjoying Guild Wars 2 and wanted to try the raids blind; without any prior info.

 You Should Apply If:

  • You're unfamiliar or new to Guild Wars 2. So are most of us!
  • You're looking for a home to make long term friends in and even play other games with.
  • You're looking for a guild that treats members fairly, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • You treat everyone, in-game and out, with respect.
  • You like the idea of working together to solve the puzzle of a new raid encounter without any prior research!

 You Should NOT Apply If:

  • Terms like 'LGBTQ+' and 'Pronouns' scare you.
  • You're looking for an established guild. [Life] is a new guild.
  • You're familiar with the raids. This would invalidate our 'blind' goals. You can still apply socially!
  • You don't enjoy the experience of blind progression!

Dang, I've not done raids yet and blind sounds fun but time zone means I'd be passed out from exhaustion before it ends rip. Just wanted to say I admire your goal good luck and very late congrats on doing wow.

Nooo! I wish you could make it!😭

I've asked a few times and everyone seems to be enjoying the experience so far! However we've only completed 9 encounters so far so I think we have a long way to go still. 😂

Thank you for the kind words also!! 💕

This sounds interesting to me, but I'm still really new to the game (don't even have a character at level 80 yet, 62 right now), nor do I know what type of gear I'd need to start raiding.

When you say this, how new are you talking? 😅

Sorry for the late reply! We're more than willing to have new players join us. We currently have a few players who are not max level and plan to raid when they get there and are ready!

Feel free to apply on our website https://wra.life/gw2☺️

This is a really interesting idea! 🙂

If you don't mind me asking, what will the guild look like post-blind raids? Also, how essential is voice chat? (ie; is most of the communication in voice, or is in-game chat used)

I think after we're done with all the raids we'll most likely just be a regular raiding guild! We'll of course do any new raids blind as they are released though. I had a few thoughts of trying to continue the blind raids for even after we've cleared the raids ourselves but haven't finalized any thoughts on how to do that yet!

As for voice chat we usually just hang out in Discord for the raids. We don't require anyone to talk but having everyone in Discord really helps avoid the struggles of miscommunication. ^^

Thanks for the reply! It does sound like it could be a good time, so I'll have to think on sending in an app. I've only ever done one fractal in my time in GW2, as far as instanced PvE goes, so this could be a fun way to get my feet wet!

So I’m returning player and have ran some of the raids before but only the first 3 wings and that was back when they first came out so about 5-6 years ago. I do like the idea of blind running raids, as I did that for raids in Lost Ark for most of them. Just wasn’t sure if I could be a part since I have done the first three wings before.
