Are qualifying points really lost when month ends? Leaving mid-tournament disables rewards?

I've been doing 1 tournament each week (wizard's vault) for like 2-3 months. I have right now 80 qualifying points and I still did not participante in this week's tournament. Monthly tournament is next week, and I doubt I won 80 points with only two tournaments. Literally all my tournaments I won 15 or 10 gold (15 or 10 qualifying points). Even if the 5 for participation is a plus, it doesn't add. But that's what wiki says. How do these points work?

Also everyone says that if someone in the group leaves in the middle of the 3 games before the rewards popup, NOBODY in the team gets them. It's true or is some urban legend everyone repeats? Never happened to me, anyone experienced this? Sounds a very bad system for Anet to make.

Points should reset after each Mat, but that doesnt always happen. Guess thats just a bug at that point.

You will get rewards after you played 3 games. If you dont play 3 games because someone declined a match or didnt accept Q, you wont get the  tourny reward.

Dont know why it sounds like a bad system that leaving mid tournament disables rewards? Like you cant just do W1 Vale Guard, leave the raid group and expect to get rewards for Gorseval and Sabetha.

Edit: Rarely At's are bugged and you wont get rewards aswell.
