SoftFootpaws.9134 Posted August 30 Share Posted August 30 (edited) i've seen this bug reported multiple times on reddit and in-game, and basically you probably don't want to clear all your decorations at the start when you begin building your homestead. it may work for you, but for many it eventually bugs out and you can mysteriously no longer place decorations beyond where the wall was, or even place decorations in the homestead area itself. they will simply always show as red and say "placement not allowed in this area". i'm not sure what causes this, but resetting your homestead to its initial state and manually removing decorations makes it never happen again. it seems the "clear all decorations" functionality specifically is bugged somehow and creates a persistent error in the decoration stack.
