Merlin Dyfed Avalon.5046
I now see this as a bug:Is there a way where flashing shroud to stomp could be made so cancelling shroud does not cancel stomp.Shroud > press F > Exit shroud. = risk reward in a nutshellIt is odd where when it runs out the stomp continues , yet when you cancel the shroud you also cancel the stomp. This is quite important since shroud now is pretty precious to power builds and this would add a bit more gameplay possibilities trough management.regards,
Linken.6345
why not exit shroud before u stomp?
Merlin Dyfed Avalon.5046
You could.. with all consequences when doing so...But that's not really the issue.
Linken.6345
it counters the exact issue you have in the op that exiting shroud make you cancel stomp, so exit before you start to stomp.
Merlin Dyfed Avalon.5046
There is no flashing shroud when Stability must be traited or casted in that shroud. So a stomp would take : entering shroud, casting stability (note: no one sane takes the stability trait since scourge in pvp) exciting shroud, start stomp. That are 4 actions (instant) to be able to stomp with shroud that only has stability and the sponge for protection.Compare this with any other profession that can actually stomp without any hindrance. Necro once was able to stomp in shroud without any of these actions. it was fluid as you can imagine. It was not nerfed, just forgotten, shroud decay now means you lose loads of life force just waiting for an animation to end, for a bit of stability that ends before the actual stomp ends. .. yeah rly. It's a small request that would open up more options for necromancer in pvp.(If not in pve, if not with channelling points if not with interacting with any object in the entire game)tldr; It boils down to taking shroud of the weapon swap mechanic as the only profession that has to slip into their specialisations mechanic to be able to interact with objects under pressure. (F)If it only was about gaining stability I would 100% agree with you and use another skill for a stomp.. unfortunately the other possibility for necromancers to stomp has been removed with the replacement of plague. Linken.6345
you also got the well with stability dont forget that.EditYour making it sound like every other profesion got easy access to stability.
Merlin Dyfed Avalon.5046
Not really.. but every profession does have the tools in their weapon sets of utilities to preform a unobstructed stomp ;)Let's just hope anet give a little attention to this issue. It would be well deserved
Linken.6345
Yes and so do necromancersEdithttps://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Well_of_Power

Given the existence of far more spammable pulsing stability skills on other professions eg Inspiring Reinforcement on the Rev, I do feel that Well of Power is long overdue a buff to make it work like that. A man can dream...The only necro skill that reapplies stability is Lich Form.
