Evolution.1758 Posted July 2, 2018 Share Posted July 2, 2018 I haven't played GW2 since April so I probably missed a few patches, but now whenever I change maps or instances I get temporarily "booted" to the desktop while it loads. I can't actually interact with anything on the desktop until I hit the windows key twice while this is happening. It's a little annoying and worrying but doesn't seem to affect gameplay at all otherwise. Is this supposed to happen? I've also noticed that the game tends to freeze on bootup more often, as in after launching I keep waiting for the character selection screen to show up, and nothing happens, so I eventually kill it from task manager and try again.I've run a repair on the game and this seems to have reduced the time I see the desktop during loading, but it's still happening.
