Twilight I: The Experimental Nightsword, Malchor's Demise

Hi guys, i need some help please :'D

so, i'm 350 hours into the game, and just decided to start progressing on the legendary weapon, the twilight.right now, i'm working on the second collection of the journey, the Malchor's Demise.all i know about it is that i have to participate on the event " Escort Historian Vermoth to the Altar of Tempests ".but the problem is, i have been waiting on the area for the event to start. i have been looking this Historian Vermoth guy (or girl) all over the area. bu i can't seem to find him/her and the said event would never start.

so the question is, how do i trigger the event? what do i do? what do i have to wait or something like that. just how do i get into the said event? :')

please help this noob guy guys, i would really appreciate your helps

Key thing to note is that it requires the failure of a previous event called Protect the Cathedral of Zephyrs Once that fails Vermoth should be standing out by himself on the plains and you just have to get within range to trigger his event. If the map you're on doesn't have him try asking in map or swapping to a different instance.

The way I read the article seems to suggest that successfully defending the altar should also reward the item. Of course that could be a potentially long wait (and there appear to be two versions of the defend event, one with Vermoth, which is not the one linked from the Malchor's Demis wiki article, which might be an error in the article)

You need the temple to be contested for that event to start. The temple is rarely contested because players complete the defense events. It's possible you get reward for defense, like Arah gates, but I am not 100% certain. Since temples aren't on a timer either, your best option is to camp it (the event cycle is around 2h from last clear) or try to log in immediately after a patch, when maps get reset.

ok thank you guys for your responses, i was able to get to enroll on the event, but just like what @FrozenStarRo.7240 said, i had to camp it down for some hours, waiting for the temple to be contested. it was such a hustle for the collection for sure :')

Unfortunately, they do call them "Legendaries" and not "Everyonehasthemaries" XD No one said this would be an easy, bug free, or walk-in-the-park journey x.x

I'm so glad you got that to work for you finally! Best of luck on the completion of the sword and be sure and get us a screenie when you're done with it! I'd love to see!

hahahaha yeah you are right XD, for a moment i genuinely thought that it wasn't going to be this hard X'Doooh god i would feel really great once i earn it i'm sure. lets just hope that i wont take too long, and i'll make sure i'll show you the screenie ^o^
