Superior Rune of Thorns Cap?

Hey, can someone clarify if this rune 6th effect has a cap on how many stacks you can have at one time?

The effect lasts for 60 seconds on a cooldown of 10s, so there's a ceiling of six stacks of the effect and the wiki article on it says it adds 50 condi-dmg per stack.

So short of someone publishing research that proves something else, I'd plan as if it were a limit of six stacks.
