easier way to see if/when I can get onto a sw map

is there an easier way to see how many people are in silverwastes? I got into squad but couldn't get onto the map because it was full. I had to just keep right clicking on a random person in squad and hope I could get in. this is a pain to do imo. I ended up having to change maps twice because the first person I used to travel to their map was on a 3rd instance. if I could see that there are 5 people in the queue ahead of me would be helpful. something like wvw queue.

Generally the commander is the best choice for that. If the commander has a bit of experience they will move themselves into the second subsquad. Other people in the squad might move themselves into the subsquad for the same reason.

There is no queue even though that did exist for the old map system with overflows.
