Game Crashed. Ran the Repair Tool. Repair Tool Crashed.

Finished 100% exploring Queensdale. Tried to Teleport to Plains of Ashford and a couple of seconds into the loading map, the game closes without any crash reports.

Went into program files and setup the Repair Tool. Repair Tool gets around halfway through and crashes with the below report. (tried running as admin)

Have Another Character having the same issue after i tried to teleport her to The Silverwastes.

Really dont want to have to redownload the entire game client again, but i might have to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you say you "went into Program Files", does that mean you've installed the game in Windows' Program Files folder? That's never a good idea.

Create a separate game folder, preferably on a non-Windows partition, and copy the game there. Delete the Local.dat and the GW2 temp folder on C: as well, then execute the Gw2-64.exe again and see if it works or if a repair works now.

I've never really worried about where a game installs and I've never had any issues with games before. Is this specific to GW2 or is it agood idea to install all games on a separate drive?I have a decent rig nowadays with a second drive so I can transfer it.Just waiting for it to redownload.

I don't know about any other games, but placing Guild Wars 2 in 'Program Files' is often an issue for some players.

The latter, definitely. You should never install anything that isn't system related in there, if you can avoid it (some programs install stuff there anyway, even when you install the main program somewhere else, but that's unavoidable).

You should do that. When the game data file is transferred as well, you don't need to download the whole game again. :)

Well, a fresh download and install did the trick for now. this time i let the whole donwload go uniterupted except for 1 stop whereas last time it stopped about 20 times and i played multiple times while it was donwloading. maybe something got corrupted. also had some blackouts so you never know, that might have ffected it.

Heh. Make sure you delete the Local.dat and the GW2 temp folders before the first launch of the game.
