Client failure, can't even start client.

Error reads as need "The item 'GW2.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly.

I just used it today and haven't logged off or changed anything.

Now in order to run client I have to download the whole thing all over again!! This happens way too regularly.

If your .dat file is still in the folder, you never need to re-download the whole thing. Just re-download the launcher, and/or make sure your shortcut hasn't been corrupted.

This happens regularly? Do you have GW2 installed to the temp folder? Removable drive? Security software deleting it? A recent major Windows update, which moves programs to C:\Windows.old? Or maybe something simply changed the shortcut.

Search for Gw2.dat, starting from where Gw2.exe was previously located. If you can find Gw2.dat, you can simply download Gw2Setup.exe, rename it to Gw2.exe and put it in the same folder as Gw2.dat to continue. There may also be a ~30 MB Gw2.tmp or Gw2.### file that you can rename to Gw2.exe.

Launcher is 440,000 files. It takes a long time to get back every time this happens and given it happened a few weeks ago this is getting real frustrating.

According to internet every time Nvidia updates this is a common error. It's super annoying when it's on a day off or I have a few hours to play.
