Here is a quote from Ben:Keep in mind that we still don't have plans to make 2v2's and 3v3's a full game mode. They will just be getting special tournaments here and there. Frequency is still tbd.SourceWas wondering, is it possible to have 2 tournament types running at the same time? with the upcoming changes we could have 2v2, stronghold and conquest on-demand tournaments, that can be a way to have multiple 'gamemodes' running at the same time. From the system's end, it should be no different than the monthly and daily tournaments happening at the same time. However, it's not something we'd likely do. The idea is that there'd be a "core" tournament structure that we have now which would stay as it is, but every 2nd week there'd be a new "special" tournament running once a day or so.For example, 1 week of 2v2s tournaments, 1 week break, followed by 1 week of 3v3, then a break again, maybe even a competitive kegbrawl? One thing we'll be looking for when we finally start the special tournaments is to see how many people participate who don't participate in normal league play.
