Inconsistent wording of spectrum Shield

The wording of the skill says "Break stun effects and create a holographic shell that reduces incoming damage. This skill recharges faster while above the heat threshold." You then gain the spectrum Shield effect which reduces condition damage by 50%. The wiki says it reduces incoming damage as well, but it's not reflected in the spectrum Shield effect. Has anyone tested this to see if it does in fact reduce physical damage as well? Or is it just bad wording?

I think the condition damage reduction was added after the fact, and the tool tips generally become messy in the wake of functional changes.
