can't log in after update

I was working in guild hall decorating when the functions became disabled. logged out and now i can't even get to the log in screen when i click on the gw2 icon. It just does nothing???

My account initialized, but now all I get is 'Connection error(s) detected...retrying'. It doesn't even make it to the Log-In screen. Sigh.

I hope it's just too many log-ins at once.

i click on run as admin and get the message "do you want to allow the following program to make changes to your computer"? Yes and then nothing happens.Now i get some error message "the guild wars 2 installation requires admin privilegdes to proceed. Please re-run the installation as an admin user." I just did?

Phew. I restarted my computer, it initialized again, and now is downloading. Praise be Joko.

Well, it was downloading, but disappeared while posting this comment. Geez.

Edit number two: Restarted the client, and is now downloading. Dunno what's up with it today; I've never had issues downloading before.

i restarted it didn't do anything & still is a problem. Other programs run fine, just GW2 doesn't work after update.

yea, after the 2nd restart the download finally started working, i can log in now.Does anyone know of any reason that might cause this issue? So i don't freak out for 5-10 mins and think my computer is broken? =DI clicked on both the guild wars 2 icon and the gw2 repair icon and nothing happened. I opened the task manager and nothing from GW2 was running.I assume it was something to do with the update, but i'm not a computer person. :/
