GW2 with i7 8700k integrated graphics

I'm building a fresh rig and I'm going to wait for RTX 2080 benchmarks before I decide which GPU to buy (GTX 1080 Ti or regular RTX 2080). In the meantime, I would like to play GW2 using the processor's integrated GPU. I have a 1080p screen but can switch to smaller, 15" 1366x768 screen. I'm just wondering whether or not the game will be playable at all (20FPS is playable to me).

The 8700k integrated gpu should run the game 1080p at low-normal settings with no issues, even some high, i did play while i was waiting for my gpu to arrive and i had no issues at all, same processor.

I use older Intel graphics than yours, they do 1920x1080 fine on low-medium. Those cards are overkill as far as I know. Unless you are playing another more modern game, check in with people to see what's best.

BTW I know a 1080 Ti or 2080 is way more than needed for GW2 but I saved up a pretty penny over the course of 6 years so overkill was the goal :D Besides, I play a lot of shooters along with Guild Wars 2 and DOOM (and later DOOM Eternal) is on top of the list, along with the new Wolfenstein games, maybe Prey, some Tomb Raider etc. at 1440p on a 165Hz monitor.

1080ti is not overkill if he has a 1440p 165Hz screen. My 1080ti is often bottlenecking on PoF maps (at around 120Hz, 1440p, all settings to the max)
